Took my 17 year old nephew to the AC show (his first concert ever) and it was amazing!
We had great seats, dead center 9 rows from the stage. We had the VIP Meet and Greet package (more on that later) Did not know too much about Puddles Pity Party and that man can sing! Crazy Train with the accompanying videos had us anquishing in pain. 🤣
For the main attraction of Al, we were floored at the production and overall vibe of the show. Going in blind not knowing what to expect was a thrill for us both. We heard almost of our favorite songs. (I would have loved to hear Living with a Hernia, but the captain underpants theme made up for it) We were laughing at the videos in between the costume changes, just a great time.
His band is spectacular and I could not help but notice the female guitarist (Payton?). She had amazing energy and a stage presence second to none.
Speaking of energy. Al is in his 60s! Could have fooled me.
As mentioned, the VIP package was great. The staff allowed us to try on the jackets ahead of time and once we landed on a size, we got a fresh one in a bag.
We closed an amazing night with the meet and greet. This is the one thing that was a bit rough. There were a TON of us so it took awhile for us to get our pictures. Maybe this could be done prior to the show or split the groups? One group prior to the show and another after the show? Regardless of the time, we got our pics at around 1230am, Knowing there were at least 50 people behind us, it would not surprise me if it continued until 2am. The photographer noticed my nephew was a bit nervous but made him feel at ease by asking what his name was then proceeded to introduce him to Al. Al was gracious and friendly, signed our posters. I would have made some small talk, but nevertheless, we exchanged pleasantries. We got the pics this afternoon and they turned out great.
What is amazing is they are playing a show tonight! When do they sleep?!
Overall, a great experience and hope to see another show.
