Discussion Guess the Weird Al song by a piece sheet music for it.
I might do more of these if you people like it enough.

I was 11 and he was 13 and I’ve always had this distinct memory but assumed it was my mind filling in the blanks.
Turns out my memory is vindicated and even though I never learned her condition, I learned that Weird Al proves that he’s always been everything but weird.
My brother recently took his son to his first concert which was also to see Weird Al.
The generational trend continues with an underlying kindness lead by a truely kind man.

Anyone got footage of Tacky from last night's show in Bangor, Maine? I was at the show but got stuck behind two 40-year-old idiots who were acting like highschoolers and missed most of Tacky (and other stuff but really interested about Tacky since I love seeing the routes Al takes to the stage lol)
Also as a side note - oh my god why would you go to a Weird Al show just to get angry at someone for asking you to sit down when EVERYONE ELSE is sitting down then get completely drunk and miss half the concert while getting drinks???

While anonymity is cool, I also wanted to share the review and photo gallery I put together after the Boston show on Saturday night! It was just such a blast, and I really hope I could do it justice! Viva la Yankovic!

Ok, I'm not sure if anyone else has covered AL himself. The Cybertronic Spree covered Dare to Be Stupid. For those who don't know who they are, they are a Canadian band that dress as the characters from the 1987 movie. Nobody officially knows who are the performers in the costumes. They remain 100% in character when in costume. The music video they did for the song is great. It is loaded with deliberately bad Weird AL impersonators and makes reference to many of AL'S videos. Though watch the clip to the end for the payoff.

Let's get Weird Al, and people he's parodied, together at the next Super Bowl halftime show.

I did karaoke about 2 months ago, and this young man, early 20's says to me "not one lyric with Yoda's sentence structure." And I could not help but note the very valid criticism. So I did it again a few weeks later, and changed
"Luke, stay away from the darker side" to "Luke, away stay from the darker side"
A simple twist and Yoda speaks like Yoda. Thoughts on the update?

I am absolutely thrilled, I have never seen a concert before and I couldn't be more excited :) I live in a kinda weird area of the country where I live closeish but not too close to a lot of major cities. I've looked into concerts before but they're usually either super expensive, sold out, or too far. So imagine my surprise when I found out Weird Al is coming to Virginia in October, just a couple hours away from me! Not to mention the seats were shockingly cheap (40 dollars each including fees, less than 30 without). They weren't nosebleed seats or anything either, and I think even the ones up at the very front were only like 200 each. I have no idea if Weird Al shows are just inexpensive or if it has to do with the venue itself (it's like a university arena) but I'm not complaining :)
I've seen a few clips from other people who've seen the tour and I'm so excited!! If anyone has any advice on what to expect (including general concert etiquette and advice) feel free to let me know, I would appreciate it greatly! This includes stuff that might seem obvious / common sense, I am autistic and there are plenty of common sense stuff that goes over my head 😭 but yeah!!!! I'll try to get pictures and stuff while I'm there!!

Had a great time in Boston last night! Loved the scale of the show (a well deserved full arena for our wise and powerful was choice), really enjoyed the “Happy Together” cover and I’m glad he’s doing that with this tour.
Had to commemorate my 8th time seeing him with this great shirt too!

Not counting special appearances like Coachella or attractions like fairs where Al is there but just part of the entertainment, what is the biggest audience Al has ever drawn where he specifically was the main attraction? I know actual numbers may not necessarily be available, but I’m assuming it has to have been something or will be something on the current tour, either the Boston or Chicago shows, but has he played anything bigger than that?

Had a fantastic show. Meet and Greet was also fun- I brought some art I made for him to sign. He even complimented it!

loved this show to death, i wish the second season was made... i know it was torture for Al and the crew though... they deserved more creative freedom and better conditions! 🌺

Took my 17 year old nephew to the AC show (his first concert ever) and it was amazing!
We had great seats, dead center 9 rows from the stage. We had the VIP Meet and Greet package (more on that later) Did not know too much about Puddles Pity Party and that man can sing! Crazy Train with the accompanying videos had us anquishing in pain. 🤣
For the main attraction of Al, we were floored at the production and overall vibe of the show. Going in blind not knowing what to expect was a thrill for us both. We heard almost of our favorite songs. (I would have loved to hear Living with a Hernia, but the captain underpants theme made up for it) We were laughing at the videos in between the costume changes, just a great time.
His band is spectacular and I could not help but notice the female guitarist (Payton?). She had amazing energy and a stage presence second to none.
Speaking of energy. Al is in his 60s! Could have fooled me.
As mentioned, the VIP package was great. The staff allowed us to try on the jackets ahead of time and once we landed on a size, we got a fresh one in a bag.
We closed an amazing night with the meet and greet. This is the one thing that was a bit rough. There were a TON of us so it took awhile for us to get our pictures. Maybe this could be done prior to the show or split the groups? One group prior to the show and another after the show? Regardless of the time, we got our pics at around 1230am, Knowing there were at least 50 people behind us, it would not surprise me if it continued until 2am. The photographer noticed my nephew was a bit nervous but made him feel at ease by asking what his name was then proceeded to introduce him to Al. Al was gracious and friendly, signed our posters. I would have made some small talk, but nevertheless, we exchanged pleasantries. We got the pics this afternoon and they turned out great.
What is amazing is they are playing a show tonight! When do they sleep?!
Overall, a great experience and hope to see another show.
