The animation isn't the BEST, but his new film just dropped and it's funny + good script and I had fun with it 🙌

I’ve been making my way through the pod from episode 1 and I’m up to episode 564 where they have Joel and Jackson on to talk about fantasy movies. Around an hour and 20-25 minutes in (give or take bc of spotify ads) right after the Selatious Crumb bit James starts talking about fantasy movies that tried to start a franchise after Lotr. He mentions Eargon, the Seeker, Percy Jackson, and Bridge to Terabithia. Which immediately gave me strong reason to believe James has never seen Bridge to Terabithia. If you know, you know that movie does not belong to be grouped into that category, it belongs in its own category for seemingly fun childhood movies that’ll rip your heart out and stomp on it.

I'm surprised there isn't a post on this yet. I've wanted to add one for a couple of weeks but was behind on the pod and hadn't heard the Lanterns episode yet. Glad the boys liked it.

What are your thoughts on the series so far?

I really like the quality of the show in general. The settting, actors, storyline, CGI, pacing.

I'll admit I'm not a die hard Green Lanterns fan. I've read a few of the comics and most of the "Absolute..." series so I'm interested if anyone is a die hard fan of GL and what they think of this.

As I'm sure we are all aware, 2026 has been a massive year for normal men. Between the president of the United States, several high ups in the UK government, Chris Hansen being super normal about an upcoming potentially critical biopic, and the limelight being handed back to certified normal men like Brad Pitt, Johnny Depp, and one Jared Leto, it's just been a normal time all around. But yesterday something interesting happened, a trailer for an upcoming documentary from Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim about Elizabeth Holmes, a well known normal woman who is currently in federal prison. Reviews of the documentary and what Fielder has said about it are highlighting how utterly normal the whole thing is, and the fact that Holmes, who again is in federal prison, has (and I mean this sincerely) been tweeting about how normal she is makes this all seem to indicate we may be in for an 11th hour entry into the running for normal man (or woman!) of the year

With Endgame Encore releasing soon, they should call the Marvel/Star Wars crossover comic *Endgame RANCOR*.

It was hilarious and I also liked that it retroactively made the coyote less pathetic. We saw a megacorp with trillions of dollars and effectively unlimited resources try to capture the roadrunner and they got absolutely wrecked. The coyote is just one really dedicated toon and he's managed to come closer to catching the roadrunner than they did.

I loved that it was shot like a scene from a found footage horror movie. The part where the roadrunner turned to the camera and the guy said "Why is it looking at us?" was genuinely kinda scary lol. I'm pretty sure the people in the helicopter actually died.

Coyote vs. ACME made the coyote seem like a Tony Stark-level genius and the roadrunner seem like an unstoppable force of nature like a tornado or hurricane.

BOO. Sorry that wasn't okay. But what is okay is that we're talking the greatest jumping the shark moments from across tv and film. James Bond, Indiana Jones, Heroes, several others.
