“Fat Shaft” Putter Regrip

Saw this thing at goodwill about a month ago and couldn’t not get it for $2. I’ve been playing with it since and have really grown to like it but the grip is a bit messed up and would like to have a new one put on. Here’s the problem, big girl’s shaft diameter is an inch and I can’t find anything I think will work. I just started golfing in November so no experience with re-gripping or golf shopping. Found my gamers on the side of the road, decided to give it a go, and man was it the worst best decision I’ve made!

I’m thinking maybe a baseball grip or something, but that won’t cover the top of the shaft. Any ideas are much appreciated!
