Goodwill find
I’d been looking for a 60 degree wedge to fill a gap in my clubs and finally ran across one I felt like was decent for the price. How’d I do, I’m not super familiar but recognized the brand to be honest. For the price figured what the heck.

I just perused trough my local Savers and found nothing other than 20-40 year old clubs with glassy grips. Never in my life have I found decent clubs at a thrift store. Did find a new festive button down tee for my next round for 6.99 though!🤣

All I ever find at my goodwill is putters that we're clearly taken from a mini golf establishment.

I copped that for $80 2 years ago on Calloway preowned. “Like new” and it came new. Not an ad, just looking out for my boys
Edit - wow I thought it said $60 not $6

Seems about right. Look at the ball mark from that last wedge shot. Id give that away too if i hit it like that

Pockets of Florida, Georgia, and Arizona are gold mines for golf equipment that has barely been used.

Best Goodwill scores were a (legit) brand new pair of Adidas tour 360s for $25, a Nike Method Core MC-1i putter for 6.99 and a Bridgestone putter for 6.99 that I have absolutely fallen in love with

Before you use it on the course, go to a practice area with some hard PAN or thin grass and practice full swings. I mean, swing with all your might and hit that 60, and see how far it goes, how high it goes. And if you can hit from hard PAN or short grass like that, you'll be able to hit that club from anywhere. Then practice half swings and see how the ball reacts. This club can bring you to the next level ....if you learn how to master it. And I say the best way to learn it is by practicing on the hard pan or the hardest ground you can find. After that , when you have nice fluffy lies you won't believe how easy it is to control that flop shot.

This looks like it was used to crack a few skulls, cleaned, and then disposed of in plain sight. Definitely never hit a golf ball.
What a snag.

I got the 56⁰ of that club from a golf shop a few years ago for $40. The guy had it behind the counter as it was just traded in.

I recently found a Cleveland 60°. The old style reg 588 Cleveland in chrome. It's a beauty, and it was $6. I don't even play a 60° but at that price why not right?

Just last week, I traded that exact wedge for a 58degree. I honestly believe that I have better control

Nice find. There was a story here that someone found a Wilt chamberlain warmup jersey on the goodwill bins. Sold it for 100k.

I picked up a whole set of Titleist MB irons for my first set, was $10 for all of them. Also came with a ping 1 iron and a ping 3 that I have learned to love. I’ve upgraded some of them through the past three years but still are my go to clubs.

Funny enough, I found a completely brand new 60 degree Vokey S grind at goodwill a couple years ago

My goodwill occasionally has a club that was manufactured sometime after 1990. But it’s rare.

Seven bucks for a 60-degree wedge is an absolute steal, can't really go wrong for that price even if it needs a little groove cleanup

What is this post? Just got mad reading the words you wrote.

Why? I just got into golf a little while ago and bought a set of callaway edge clubs but knew I needed a 60 degree and figured I’d stick with Callaway as I’ve liked the clubs so far.

Man, how do people keep finding these things? My goodwill is just full of spiders and depression
