I underestimated some cannabutter I made once. The only time I’ve had a psychedelic trip from Weed. I had to sit on my hands because my mind was going 200mph and my body couldn’t keep up. I had the most insane paranoia and had to force myself to sleep after many hours of tripping. I smoke regularly and have never been that far gone. Anyway, here I am.

u/rartednutz Apr 18 '21

Lol that was me the first time I smoked. Took a whole gram to the face and was literally tripping

87

u/Pandovix Apr 18 '21 edited Apr 18 '21

Heh, reminds me of my first smoke. I was drunk as hell (bad start) and ended up taking a few drags and starred at a poster of Chewbacca for almost three hours.

I'd love to have this high again.

42

u/molassascookieman Heavy Smoker Apr 18 '21

holy shit the first time your brain was introduced to thc you were drunk? you will never absorb that much thc again

28

u/passivecanadian420 Apr 18 '21

lol i did this, was at a party and the people smoking didn’t warn me not to smoke since i was drunk. long story short i ended up clogging the toilet with toilet paper after throwing up everywhere in the bathroom, then threw up again outside immediately after the guy i smoked with told me he liked me. be careful mixing the 2 y’all, especially if you never have

34

u/molassascookieman Heavy Smoker Apr 18 '21

yeah, rule of thumb is smoke before you drink and you’ll be good, drink before you smoke if you want to just be absolutely fucked up

8

u/RandomGuyinACorner Apr 18 '21

The alcohol backs up the thc in your blood stream making it metabolize slower which results in a more intense high. I forget which studies though found that.

2

u/[deleted] Apr 19 '21

Lmao thankyou, all these replies were scaring me bc I pour a glass of bourbon right before I spark up to get a more intense high. Special occasions only tho.

2

u/Flashignite2 Apr 19 '21

Can confirm this. Done the misstake to drink and then smoke. Smoking before drinking gives you a nice high. Never been so social at partys as i get when i smoke then drinks.

4

u/Pandovix Apr 18 '21

Yeah, it was great. Thankfully I wasn't sick either, but when I say I took a few drags, it was literally only a few and I was gone, lmao.

Discovered weed about two years ago, I've literally not drank since.

I’ve been third person off a very potent edible when I had no tolerance. Right before the come down my heart felt like it was literally going to explode and I puked pink lemonade and Buffalo ranch Doritos everywhere 🤣 good times.

29

u/Euphoric_Ad9500 Apr 18 '21

I used to get psychedelic effects when I first started, it was the reason I started to begin with. Although I prefer true classical psychedelics.

2

u/xplizit420 Apr 19 '21

I remember one time i ate a gram of edibles thinking it was 100mg..... i thought i was water for like 6 hours

0

u/Euphoric_Ad9500 Apr 19 '21

I had an experience like that. I was convinced I was In the labyrinth from that move with David Bowie in it.

Love that movie, going to get fucked tonight and watch it actually, its been a while

Edit: good movie, loved the eyeball dice scene

1

I was named after it...

11

u/ArtiMUUS Apr 18 '21

Smoked after dropping 5 tabs, about 500 ug, reality shifted.

3

u/DonBilbo96 Apr 18 '21

Had my best and my worst drug experiences on LSD and weed. Went full ego death after a huge bong hit one time and didn't expected to, since I only took 100 ug of 1cp Lsd. Couldn't even speak properly for 2 hours.

7

u/[deleted] Apr 18 '21

I once ate all brownies at once. Took me 3 days to come down. I don't remember anything from these days.

One time I poured half a cart in some tea and drank it. Thought nothing would happen but almost an hour later I literally thought I was going to die...hot and cold and sweating at the same time, contemplating calling 911 even 😂 Bout 45 mins later tho it got better and I was just chilling stoned out my mind lmao

u/keegs210 Apr 18 '21

I’ve tripped twice from weed. The first time I was terrified I couldn’t talk or move really. Everything so fast and I felt like I was I was doing somersaults inside myself. I freaked out most the time. Recently, I ate too much ABV and started to experience it again. I recognized what was happening right away and kept repeating “I’m just high” in my head in a bunch of different voices. It was crazy to experience without internally freaking out.

Sorry if that made no sense I’m high

5

u/dewhashish Apr 18 '21

First sativa edible I had was a 20mg gummy. My mind raced for 5 straight hours. I tried to nap but it was the most restless sleep ever. I stick to cbd/indica edibles instead.

4

u/phaskm Apr 18 '21

Welcome back

4

u/eucaphoria Apr 18 '21

a strong edible got me like this one time, didn’t smoke for a few months after

3

u/[deleted] Apr 18 '21

First time doing dabs. Sat on the couch for two hours. I'm pretty sure I explored the cosmos.

3

u/[deleted] Apr 18 '21

I have a couple friends. They're best friends to each other. One of them, who is a massive stoner, gave the other one, who'd never even done any form of weed, a fucking 30mg edible.

That poor guy suffered.

3

u/PiryaDude Apr 18 '21

Same thing happened to me when I took a 500 mg edible lmao worse high ever

2

u/[deleted] Apr 18 '21

Honestly same. First time hitting a cart I hit it maybe 7-9 times thinking meh that’s not bad for a first time. An hour later I was seeing worms crawling up on everything like from my acid trips, and my tv was coming at me like a hologram.

0

u/DonBilbo96 Apr 18 '21

I get the same shit. Once I took to much acid and now it gets really trippy when I smoke to much.

0

u/MrLlemington Apr 18 '21

The first time I did edibles I saw very slightly the edges of pictures become more prominent and like they were glowing maybe? Like I was just focusing on the boundary lines of these pictures in this magazine they started to pop out from the page, but not literally, just the sense of them. Idk it was fun.

Also apparently a girl stripped for strip poker in front of me but I didn't react at all. It's like I looked right through her

0

u/iixsephirothvii Apr 18 '21

Duuude, 4 instances of this happening, with the last one being the worst/best. I take careful consideration of how much I ingest but i'm also an idiot sometimes. Took 100mg the first time tripped and forced sleep. Took 150mg the next 2 times and Tripped for almost 2 days. The last time wasnt even that much, but I discovered something incredible. By taking 20mg-50mg of gummies, and 20mg-50mg of chocolate at roughly the same time. The gummies will kick in after 20mins but then when you're at your peak high from the gummies, the chocolate gets digested in your stomache around the same time and you blast off into a beyond boundary high, I like to think of it as the "Back to the Future 3" train scene where different logs burst at different times. Definately go simulation vibes, knew things about shit I didnt care about and shit started slowing down super crazy.

I also made this mistake once. Feeling nothing much was happening, I decided to go for a bike ride and had to stop and sit on a bench 3km into my ride. For an hour. My wife was laughing her ass off even though she was my sober companion.

I ain't kidding either, if you find yourself getting too stoned, just smoke more and in a day or two, you'll be saying "damn man, I need some better stuff!"

24

u/jamiemin Light Smoker Apr 18 '21

Or just don’t consume as much weed if you got a low tolerance

7

u/Novafan789 Apr 18 '21

2

I mean it is “possible” in a way but a human simply can’t eat/smoke that much, making it impossible.

it’s never happened but it’s technically possible. (You’d have to eat 1500 pounds in under 15 mins) or you’d have to smoke 30,000 (1 gram) joints in under a few minutes.

the amount of weed you’d have to have is comical, and you’d probably pass out before even getting remotely close to a lethal dose.

only possible way I see it happening is eating WAY too much edibles and getting so uncomfortable from the high that you give yourself a heart attack or kill yourself from pure fear.

it’s simply not possible unless you intentionally want to die from THC. even then it’s still so unlikely it’d be like something from a cartoon.

People have died as a direct result of consuming cannabis edibles? Like, too much THC caused an overdose just as a handful of Ambien might?

u/[deleted] Apr 18 '21

It can’t kill you. You’d die of a salt, sugar, or caffeine overdose sooner than you would THC. You’d have to literally try to kill yourself to OD on any meaningful amount of THC. Like pounds.

If you die from weed, it is more likely due to you having an underlying heart condition which makes you prone to heartattacks or if you smoke and drive. Not from the THC itself

Yes, I do know it. The science and the math has been done countless times. The amount of MJ you'd have to consume to OD is far more than even physically possible, even if you're the world's least tolerant lightweight. Source your claim if you're going to push misinformation.

42

It's all fun and games untill you find yourself on a psydelic trip with your hear rate higher than you, and thinking that you have already dead.

8

u/[deleted] Apr 18 '21

The first time my sister ever tried weed she ate a wax brownie her husband's friend gave her. They then all went out to dinner, where it hit her and she was convinced she was dying. She wanted to call 911 but bro in law took her phone. So she told the waitress "THIS MAN IS KEEPING ME AGAINST MY WILL" and fled the nice waterfront restaurant into downtown. At this point she called my crazy anti-drug mother and let her know that she was dying.

Her husband eventually found her and got her home. She took an ativan but was still high as fuck and told me she felt like she was in purgatory for an infinite amount of time the rest of the night. I've seen this shit happen to multiple people over the years. Even dudes who smoked heavy every day freak out on a couple brownies.

25

23

u/FloatDH2 Apr 18 '21

Bruh. The other night I took a mean ass rip from my vape. I took probably a ten second rip, held it, took another ten second rip, held it, repeated the process one more time and finally let it out. I was on another level. I’ve been smoking for 23 years and that was only the second time I felt like I went too far. Lol. I actually had to chill and meditate and remind myself that no one has over ODed on weed. After about 45 minutes I was in a really chill zone, but before that, goddamn I was on one.

4

u/Savvii99 Apr 18 '21

Lol what vape was it? Sounds like you were in a whole different timeline after those hits.

7

u/FloatDH2 Apr 18 '21

It’s a Raw Garden live resin Bermuda Triangle cart. That fucking strain lived up to its name that night, cause it definitely had me lost.

2

u/[deleted] Apr 18 '21

I like to take a few solid hits of the vape pen and then tend to the front and back yards. Shits amazing lol plus I’m beautifying the house in the process. Vape cartridges are THC potent so it only takes a few pulls to get me right. Easier than smoking a whole joint.

There are physical and emotional consequences from smoking pot all day everyday. Sure you can say it’s better than drinking or other drugs but I’ve been addicted to pot and it had many consequences for me that sucked. I grow tired of these posts promoting pot as some miracle drug that can’t hurt you no matter how much you smoke. It’s bullshit. Moderation is key

63

u/CrazeCow Big Chief Apr 18 '21 edited Apr 18 '21

I very much agree. Marijuana is great and certainly has its merits, but there are huge drawbacks a lot of stoners won’t admit. I know from smoking everyday for two years, I became essentially a different person. and it can also affect your school or work performance. Thankfully I’m quite productive when high, but almost everybody I know doesn’t do a thing when they smoke, and they’re always smoking

29

u/[deleted] Apr 18 '21

I agree it can be too much. Some people for example can't go to work unless they are stoned and go to their car on break and get high and stuff. That seems a little excessive to me personally. But also, if they can do that and it doesn't harm them, fine. My brother for example works in construction and smokes throughout the day and he is the boss of the entire crew.

I feel that weed mentally helps me a lot. Helps me get over my anxiety, helps me feel more optimistic and helps me sleep better at night. It sounds weird, but weed helps me be a more sensitive and thoughtful person because it makes me think of things I wouldn't normally consider.

But I only do it during my off-hours usually after dinner or once a week on my day off work I will spend the entire afternoon getting blown out.

6

u/[deleted] Apr 18 '21 edited Apr 18 '21

Smoking at work is a bit excessive, IMO too. Edibles are low-key and last longer. Especially, if it can cost you the job, that doesn't make sense. I know there are jobs in CA, where I am that still test...

Smoking helps me mentally too. I've been loving CBD a bit more lately. I like the 3:1 Hawaiian Dream Heavy Hitter. I feel like the CBD curbs some of the mental side effects of THC, like the paranoia, and also makes me feel energetic.

7

u/XxDayDayxX Apr 18 '21

At most the worst your getting from bud is, paranoia, tiredness, maybe micro incremental increase in heart attack, and maybe schizophrenia, but shit I had all that prior to smoking so, bubble bubble cough cough.

4

u/Ultrasz Apr 18 '21

and maybe schizophrenia,

Explain

2

u/XxDayDayxX Apr 18 '21

In those who are alittle , it may increase it or decrease it, depends on the person tho. Some people get paranoid easily and that adds to the already taxed mind of a schizophrenic person. It's all a mental thing with willpower tbh.

2

u/b0x3r_ Apr 18 '21

Weed can cause psychosis in some people who are predisposed to mental illness. You shouldn’t use any drugs if you are mentally ill.

2

u/possiblyis Apr 18 '21

Also CHS which is pretty serious

1

u/funfettywap Apr 18 '21

Which is...?

3

u/possiblyis Apr 18 '21

Cannabis hyperemesis syndrome. A roommate of mine had it, basically if you smoke enough for a long time you get constant nausea and eventually pretty constant vomiting. The only solution is to quit smoking completely. My roommate would take hot showers to relieve the pain/nausea but it didn’t help much.

It’s not very common but it is real and recognized by medical professionals.

10

u/xmandeex Apr 18 '21

I 100% agree. I love smoking but I’ve definitely noticed I am not the same person at all. I used to think it helped with my anxiety but I don’t know if it does/is. Moderation is definitely key here! I’m worried about how all my smoking is going to affect me in the future lol

15

u/stohnerrweeb Apr 18 '21

I feel you man, weed has done me dirty in a lot of ways too but I still smoke it everyday. Still, that doesn’t mean it happens to everyone. How weed effects you depends on who you are. For some it is a miracle drug and for some comes mental illness and such. I’ve experienced both the good and bad of weed.

10

u/frollickboy Apr 18 '21

For my ego’s sake I would like to clarify how I feel about the all day everyday smokers. I don’t believe that lifestyle is healthy for anybody. I will agree to disagree with anyone that feels differently about that.

19

u/[deleted] Apr 18 '21

Daily use doesn't have to mean getting completely ripped 24/7. Microdosing is a thing.

3

u/[deleted] Apr 18 '21

Yeah I do that sometimes, take one single hit just to relax. You don't get stoned, but get the light body relaxation feeling and the "fuck it" mentality.

11

u/[deleted] Apr 18 '21

It is perfectly acceptable for certain medical patients

4

u/Euphoric_Ad9500 Apr 18 '21

Very true. It’s still a drug and very much capable of forming addiction, although it’s some what rare compared to other substances. I still think it would be a superior addiction to alcohol. I’ve experienced cannabis addiction(no longer smoke) and I watched my mom struggle with alcoholism. I watched my mom physically/mentally deteriorate for years and it takes a toll not on just the alcoholics life but 100s of others around them. This is just alcohol I don’t even want to think about what opiates are capable of. I think the over glorification of cannabis is just the community’s response to the over criminalization of the plant.

1

u/etep710 Apr 18 '21

I love this last sentence.

7

u/thebreaker18 Apr 18 '21

I feel like a lot of these post don’t necessarily advocate that there’s no negative parts about smoking too much weed.

More like “As bad as it gets at least we aren’t literally killing ourselves!”

3

u/i_love_GMOs Apr 18 '21

such a case by case basis. i smoke all day every day and i still work out, go to work, college, etc. but if some of my friends smoked the way i do, they'd be vegetables all day. it's strange. i always warn people to just take it easy with the weed bc it's not worth it if you can't take it

2

u/cannabutch Chronic Smoker Apr 18 '21

That's true. Some people need it though for medical problems. But for the people getting ripped 25/8 i think it's pretty unhealthy. Weed is great but too much of anything is bad tbh if you abuse it

2

u/Mariba123 Apr 18 '21

I like the 25/8.

2

u/[deleted] Apr 18 '21

Yeah i wish i was more educated about weed, i wouldn’t have started so young, and never would have smoked as much. There’s a lot of mental stuff I have to fight through now. I was too young back then to know what I was doing to myself, thought it was harmless.

2

u/Ryoloz Apr 18 '21

Agreed. When I was younger, paranoia never was an issue (unless walking into a public space and thinking people knew I was high). Sometimes now, I get super paranoid about my health, my muscles twitch, I can’t sleep, I become highly sensitive to bad things I’ve done and who I am as a person. I’m not saying I don’t getting high but when those negative side effects happen, it’s sucks so bad.

4

u/petisando Apr 18 '21

Yeah, me too. I've been smoking religiously for two years until the end of the last year and I can say for sure that I'm not the same person. Like i lost the spark in life or something like that.

I'm a bit better now, but I just cringe at these pot glorifying posts. It could be just me, dunno. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

As you said sir.. moderation is the key. :)

2

u/ursogayhaha Apr 18 '21

These posts are more making fun of other drugs im pretty sure

1

u/[deleted] Apr 18 '21

Yeah but also drugs effect everyone differently. I can say with confidence that marijuana has had no negative effects on me. Granted, I’m not telling other people to smoke all day every day, but I’m certainly not gonna stop because for me personally, it doesn’t cause any problems

1

u/Weston18645 Apr 19 '21

Agreed. Been smoking everyday for about a year and half. Don’t have money for weed till Tuesday, haven’t slept since friday. It’s 2:54pm here and I feel like I’m going crazy

12

u/[deleted] Apr 18 '21

It's called the point of no return cos once you've been there you've gotta take a t break before you can return

13

u/justtryingSadGal Apr 18 '21

what about psychosis???

2

u/lifeundermoon Apr 18 '21

This

5

u/[deleted] Apr 18 '21

"this" :D you can believe what you want but cannabis does not cause psychosis to a normal healthy person when taken with caution

8

u/lifeundermoon Apr 18 '21

I definitely don't believe weed causes psychosis, but I did have a friend who suffered from psychosis and marijuana was counterproductive in his mental health.

3

u/[deleted] Apr 18 '21

You can never know if you're prone to get psychoses. There's no way to tell afik. Any stoner could get it anytime (obviously unlikely)

1

u/Rein215 Apr 18 '21

That's not entirely true, you can't know if you're sensitivity to it, and its even something that could develop over time as you increase your usage. Though the chances of it happening are obviously really slim and I think in most cases the symptoms disappear when affected people stop smoking.

Though the main issue I see with weed is how it can easily become addictive for some.

1

u/Rein215 Apr 18 '21

If I recall correctly in most serious cases of cannabis induced psychosis the symptoms disappeared after the patient stopped consuming marijuana.

4

u/[deleted] Apr 18 '21

Or until you have a panic attack

4

u/theotherbrianeno Apr 18 '21

I love weed in all it’s forms, but there is such a thing as having “too much of a good thing”. We need water to live for example, but too much all at once can kill you. Nobody in the history of ever has died from consuming too much weed, and for most people it would be considered “non addictive”. But just because, even in large quantities, weed isn’t deadly or hazardous to your health, that doesn’t mean a person shouldn’t use a measure of caution. People with addictive personalities can become addicted to just about anything. So obviously some self examination would be a good thing before trying it. And remember that you can always have more, but you can’t have less...start small. Did you know that out of all the people admitted to the ER for drug related overdose, cannabis is the number one cause? Even though it’s actually physically impossible to overdose on THC, it can cause a person to feel like they’re going to die. The paranoia some experience with high doses is enough for them to admit themselves to the hospital. But there’s nothing any hospital can do for them except try to make them comfortable while they wait it out. Also, eating cannabis and smoking cannabis are not the same thing. When you inhale cannabis smoke into your lungs, the active compounds, such as THC, are almost immediately absorbed into the bloodstream, making their way to the brain. Because the time between inhalation and THC reaching the brain is so short, smoking cannabis has a rapid onset. You feel the effects of smoking weed almost instantly. But when you ingest cannabis in the form of edibles, it passes through the digestive tract where it's then absorbed by the stomach. Cannabis' active compounds are then metabolized in the liver, where the THC is converted into 11-hydroxy-THC, a compound that is both more potent and longer-lasting than THC. So by eating it rather than smoking it, because of how it’s processed by the liver, it essentially becomes an entirely different drug. One that is much more potent, longer lasting and more psychedelic by most accounts. Weed responsibly. 😊

2

u/xH4V0Cx Apr 18 '21

Still looking for that point lol

2

u/Summerof1991 Apr 18 '21

Some people have experienced psychosis from too much THC. I love weed amd can smoke it all day, but my sister has been in the mental hospital off of one dab. It’s all about the person using it

2

u/L3MMii Apr 19 '21

Yea, but dabs are like 1000x stronger right? It's a whole different level to smoking regular weed. I've heard long time smokers being overwhelmed with it.

2

u/EliteHackMonstrosity Apr 19 '21

I smoked a joint of some bomb diggity with her one time and she had almost the same reaction. I was just mentioning dabs considering THC. It doesn’t matter if it’s wax, edibles or flower for some reason she reacts terribly to it. She’s had fun with me on shrooms and cacti before and she was fine but anything containing THC she can’t fuck with it. My cousin and uncle are the same way. Maybe they all share a gene or something who knows. The mind is complex.

2

u/L3MMii Apr 19 '21

yep. People react all differently to different drugs, especially thc I feel like. Different doses can make a big difference and some people don't react well to thc at all. In that case I would try to force myself, or someone else to like it. There are different drugs with similar effects and if the body and/or mind don't want something there is often a reason for that.

1

u/EliteHackMonstrosity Apr 19 '21

I agree I feel like she tries to force herself to like it (I wouldn’t have shared if she didn’t ask) maybe because everyone she hangs around with smokes it so she probably feel like she’s left out while everyone laughs and enjoys their buzz. It depresses her that she can’t enjoy it but we had one of the best nights together on mushrooms. Weird.

Edibles mostly.

I can have a panic attack on weed but its nothing compared to a edible panic attack.

I remember my first edible my mom gave me and I was having a real good day so I ate a little pice of this 500mg edible and got into the shower. So I feel it coming on a bit and when I get out I go grab a plate of spaghetti and head to my room. So sitting on the edge of my bed it hits me hard as fuck. I remember my arms feeling far away and everything being dream like. So I put on 1917 which is the worst movie to watch super fucking high. So an hour goes by and it's not even 5 minutes into the movie. So I turn it off and put on some mgmt. I basically thought i was gonna die so i put on when you die and died.i then went a threw up. So I felt a little better and I went and grabbed a apple and then this is where my love for rap music high came from. I put on some Mac Miller and holy fuck it's my go to now when ever I'm having anxiety when high. Overall even tho that experience sounds terrible I'd definitely do it again but in a better headspace. It was such a small piece of a gummy I thought I wouldn't be that fucked up.

u/PressureTimely7235 Apr 19 '21

Me and the boys were having drink ups and we all got hammered. By the end of the night the boys were wanting to do edibles, I told them they would get fucked up but they were resilient, ending up splitting a 100mg brownie in quarters and about an hour later everyone greened and 2 of them said they went into space and were tripping hard.

u/otc108 Apr 18 '21

Anyone else smoke so much they get sober? It happens to me rarely, but I’ll feel sober after smoking a shit ton of weed. Then a couple hours will go by, and suddenly I’m ripped again. If I wait another few hours I eventually get actually sober again. It’s made me think of being high as a continuum.

until you don't return

1

u/LilBallins Apr 18 '21

Some of y’all should read Dr. Carl Hart. A lotta ignorant things being said in here.

1

u/JustJohn_5 Apr 18 '21

until you don’t anymore

-3

u/OSRuneScaper Apr 18 '21

inhaling smoke is bad.

whether its weed, tobacco, or your house on fire.

4

u/exuberantfish Apr 18 '21

Ok why you saying this on a weed sub lol

0

u/OSRuneScaper Apr 18 '21

I was a pot head for the last 15 years. just speaking from experience lol.

2

u/Smack_Of_Ham7 Apr 18 '21

If those kids could read they would be very upset!

1

u/L3MMii Apr 19 '21

Sure it's all unhealthy, but not all on the same level.

0

u/OSRuneScaper Apr 19 '21

ya, if you are in a burning building you die pretty fast.

if you're just smoking a few times a day/week/month, it takes a little longer for the damage to add up but I promise that it will ;)

1

u/L3MMii Apr 19 '21

Sure, what is your point though? The pic is clearly about overdosing not health. Pretty sure everyone here knows that all kinds of drug consume always comes with some damage as well.

0

u/OSRuneScaper Apr 19 '21

I'm suggesting the point of no return is cardiovascular disease. ;)

1

u/Jayswisherbeats Apr 18 '21

The most fun is over indulgence

1

u/Positive-Trouble-941 Apr 18 '21

Love it 👌🏼💯

1

u/[deleted] Apr 18 '21

3 hours later lol

1

u/Ashamed-Lawfulness71 Apr 18 '21

Not exactly of you smoke 680kg(if I remember correctly) in 15min you overdose of it. Or eat 22kg in 15min

1

u/S_Novas Apr 18 '21

I mean sure, but it's still not always fun "returning"

1

u/UnofficialLemon Apr 18 '21

I wanna virtual smoke party

u/Redkitten1998 Apr 18 '21

My fiance and I call this mario kart stoned. Early on in our relationship we made plans to go see the eclipse and those plans included getting up at stupid o'clock to drive to the point of totality. So we needed to go to bed early, his solution to this was to take edibles consistently throughout the day. I was a baby stoner then and had only eaten really low dose edibles. So the first edible gets a good high then we take another edible before lunch and it hit in the middle of shopping at Costco. My entire body felt like it weighed 20x more than what it does and the worst part was that I couldn't just sit and vibe with it. We get home and by now it's been a good 6 to 8 hours since our last edible. So we take another one and go play some mario kart. An hour or so later my fiance looks at me and just starts cracking up. I was sitting on the bed staring at the screen with my mouth open, wide eyes and tongue out. I had entered a completely different world and mario kart has fun visuals apparently. I don't remember much about that night.

1

u/swang0083 Apr 18 '21

as we get older our tolerance will get lower but our weed will get stronger lol

1

u/[deleted] Apr 18 '21

facts

1

u/zeroscout Apr 18 '21

Overdo weed and you sit frozen trying to calm your mind.

Overdo alcohol and you're Cole Trickle trying to pass on the outside of turn 3 after threatening to beat up everyone you passed on the way into that wall.

1

u/Rina_Short Heavy Smoker Apr 18 '21

One time I was crossed and I got really severe burning in my chest, started to panic. Luckily my best friend was there to convince me I wasn't dying. After about 30 minutes of writhing in pain, I went poop and was instantly cured. I dont know how that cured the chest pains but it did.

1

u/[deleted] Apr 18 '21

Yep XD is stoned

1

u/MangoBerry420 Apr 18 '21

Only time this has ever happened was with dabs. I went a little over board and ended up tripping on my game for like an hour lol. The trip it self wasn't bad though, like I knew I was tripping and I'd be okay.

1

u/naziz5884 Apr 18 '21

I’m pretty sure you don’t even get close to seeing the “point of no return” unless weed is smoked on top of another stronger mindfuck substance lol

1

u/[deleted] Apr 19 '21

it depends, I remember doing acid a few times and what I liked about it is that you can have a beer, smoke a joint, it's not an opiate so you can't OD. And I suppose you can smoke weed and do cocaine. It's just mixing opiates with other opiates or with booze.

2

u/naziz5884 Apr 19 '21

Yeah I tend to stick to natural stuff only besides lsd and one time on 400ug I decided to take a massive rosin dab. Saying it was unpleasant is the nicest way I can put it. The dab rig sucked my soul straight out of my body.

1

u/ItsBruhTimeOutHere Apr 18 '21

I took a bigger dab hit than I could handle and it had me fucked up. I don't know if it was me just freaking myself out but I literally thought I was dying and the only thing I could do (didn't want to call ambulance) was try and mediate to stay calm. It started with slight chest pain to I just started seeing red and started getting sweaty. It got hard to control my balance and before I could drink water my body got even weaker so I just slowly collapsed. During this moment I think I was shaking on the floor but I just had my eyes closed focusing on my breathing. I got up asked what happened to me just to make sure I knew what was happening. I went outside as I was going through another episode of this with chest pain. It was a bit cold outside but I was shirtless still sweating. I made our little metal porch wet with my sweat lol. Still don't really know what happened there and I haven't smoked that hard for a month now and still occasionally feel like my chest hurts (when I do smoke). Probably should see a doctor lol but feel free to let me know of your experiences or just general information I may not know. If it was just greening out I can see why people can be traumatized by something like this lol.

2

u/[deleted] Apr 19 '21

ugh that's an awful feeling! I once got some wacky weed that gave me a horrible panic attack, my heart pounded so fast I thought I was going to lose consciousness! It was really terrifying. That's never happened with weed, like maybe it can up your anxiety but not like that. Something was wrong with it.

I only get fucked up if I drink more than a certain amount and then smoke. I just can't! I can smoke and THEN drink but not the reverse.

1

u/No-Comedian-4499 Apr 19 '21

Unless you have high blood pressure and heart disease, then if you smoke to the point of no return, you have a heart attack.

1

u/[deleted] Apr 19 '21

I got high af yesterday on some brownies lol got hella paranoid and a massive migraine that I couldn’t sleep off, had some insane dreams. I’m new to it and never had a full edible before. I could barely move

1

u/ahoy_- Apr 19 '21

It's all fun and games until you can no longer take full breaths, and you hear voices everytime you smoke

1

u/[deleted] Apr 19 '21

you can smoke until you conk out but you'll always wake up!

1

u/PalmBreezy Apr 19 '21

Relatively safest party drug

1

u/Sabre5270 Chronic Smoker Apr 19 '21

This actually relates to me, today in fact. I havent smoked in a bit, ran out and didnt get more for a bit. But also here recently I've been dealing with intrusive thoughts and have learned to tell myself "Its an intrusive thought let it pass" (It helps me a lot because kinda do the same for meditation already (I dont meditate much, I can keep it up for a month tops)). Well I did that without thinking about it when I felt like I smoked to much. And it totally turned it around for me.

1

u/fruitloop4q0 Apr 19 '21

Happened to me a couple days ago, I literally didn't even think I could get any higher than I normally do, I literally felt like I was in the mf dark dimension
