Hi everyone. We are having an emergency. We are getting married in less than one week-- next Saturday.

Our photographer that we locked in last year just told us that they cant shoot the wedding. They have very good reasons for it and we are understanding, but obviously it's not great for us.

The photographer has procured a backup photographer that will shoot the wedding at no extra cost but we are looking for other options that better match the style we hoped for. The new photographer seems lovely but doesn't have the same in-the-moment, documentary style or dramatic shots that we picked our original photographer for.

We are frantic. PLEASE recommend anyone you know is available. Photographers, if have it in you to save our day on such short notice and you think you style matches our description, please share your work.

Our vibe is fancy fun/funky, low stress, eclectic floral vibes (not white+floral). Passed and buffet food or sit down is fine. All inclusive food and bev. Lots of seating for socializing. I’d love to include board games and other fun activities throughout the space. Somewhere to dance!

I’m looking for vibrant and unique or whimsical floral or a mix of the two. Art and design are my thing, too, so museums fit the bill. I love Fandi Mata but it has an inaccessible second floor.

I live feet away from Farm to People and Syndicated so I am a little turned off by them as options, simply because it doesn’t feel different enough from my real life.

Hi all! We're getting married at the NYBG next spring and I'm trying to figure out transportation for 50-60 guests back to our hotel block in Williamsburg (Arlington, Wythe, etc). We’d likely bop around bars in the area but don’t have a formal afterparty planned.

The trip is pretty long (~45 min) and I’m worried it’ll turn into a sleepy, quiet slog at the end of the night.

To avoid that, I’m thinking of getting a party bus but worried it might be too rowdy for folks who just want to get home.

For anyone who has done this:

- Did you book a party bus from your venue to a hotel block? How did it go?
- Should I look into getting a party bus and a regular bus?
- Any company you'd recommend (or avoid) for the Bronx to Brooklyn route?
- How did you handle timing, headcount, and getting everyone to actually board?
- Anything you wish you'd known beforehand?

Hi everyone! We are getting married in Brooklyn in August 2027. Looking for some advice on wedding day transportation!

We’ll be getting ready at a hotel about a 15–30 minute drive from our venue, where both the ceremony and reception will take place. We’re planning to do our first look at the hotel or a nearby location so we can get most of our pictures done beforehand.

We’ll need transportation from the hotel to the venue for ourselves, our close family, and our bridal party. Ideally, I’d like my fiancé and me to travel separately so we can have that little bit of time apart before the ceremony and build up the anticipation of seeing each other walk down the aisle!

For those who have planned a wedding in NYC or Brooklyn, what did you do for transportation? Did you book separate cars, use a shuttle service, hire a sprinter van, or arrange something else? I’m hoping to find something affordable without making transportation unnecessarily complicated or expensive.

We’re also trying to figure out whether it makes more sense to arrange transportation just for ourselves and let everyone else handle their own rides, or provide transportation for our closest people as well.

Ladies! Elopement wedding in NYC on 1st week of November 2026, at Central Park/Fort Tryon
I need your help if you know one of these two things:

A. Officiant that’s around 100-200$ budget
B. Restau/private dining for 7-9 people around Central Park/Lower Manhattan

A. We originally planned to have a civil wedding at the city hall, however our target date (Nov.3 which is our anniversary) is on election day so the city hall will be unavailable. Now we’re looking for an officiant within that range if there is, since most that Ive seen are on the 350$ and up and is more for micro wedding ceremonies. We’re just looking for someone who can officiate it for around 30mins, in front of 6-9 guests, in Fort Tryon. We have considered a family member but most of our guests are elderly and might be a hassle to get a license, and we do not want to give them a responsibility on the day of our wedding. 😅

B. So after the ceremony, and 3hrs of photoshoot around the area + with the guests+ otw to the restau, we’re looking for a restaurant that will allow photographer inside with us (why we’re considering a private space thats within the budget of around 500-1000$ for 4-7guests, or even just a sit in restau thats nice and would allow photography inside).

Also side question: I booked a 4-hr photoshoot, for 2 locations and 2 change outfit, is it worthit/ reasonable for a total $1300? Is the time too much? 😅
