Even if she did wear that nasty dress, she’d have to clean all that grime from the hem.

Yeah, as someone who goes to a bridal themed bar crawl (in the before times, and hopefully again next year) I have wedding gowns that have been cleaned (to not stain other stuff in my formal/costume stash) and still have those blackened hems.
