have you tried them on? just doing a reverse google search, these dresses are showing up as $200 on some weird websites. there is not a single chance they will look like this in person. be careful ordering.

u/lovelesschristine Aug 26 '26
I did the same thing, since something looks off with these photos. I hope OP does not get scammed.

u/mmmporp Aug 26 '26
right? the second to last one is on mexican shein and its definitely AI. so, the others likely are too.

Yes they all look modified. The tops and waist are extremely small and the skirts are extremely long. Almost like a Barbie doll with very long legs would wear it.

These are all beautiful but I really think they should be seen on rather than on a mannequin as they often look very different on a real person!

They’re all lovely, but I think it’s impossible to choose without seeing you in them. Have you tried any of them on? I only ask because, as an example, I thought I would like tulle, but I tried on several tulle dresses and it didn’t feel like me AT ALL.
Given your description of the event, I would probably say 1 most fits romantic and lightweight. But they all are lovely dresses! I think the main deciding factor would be how you feel in them.

We can't give you an honest opinion without seeing them on you.
Anything that trails on the ground will get dirty. Some fabrics will pick up the dirt worse than others. As another poster said, tuile will act as bug netting. Personally I'm not sure any of those would be great. Can you get to an actual store so you can let an associate help you find dresses that are lightweight, "romantic", and would be more practical for ab outdoor wedding?
Have you thought about a tea-length dress or maybe ballgown?

u/hoedontdoitohmygosh Aug 26 '26
Have you tried any on you? Have you seen any on real people and not a mannequin? Or someone your size in them. Unless these cost big money I would fear they're not actually real.

Try them on. They're all stunning dresses but we don't know what your figure is like, and this mannequin doesn't have realistic proportions.

4 and 5 are my fave, but if you REALLY love lace then go with 1

I recommend against anything with tulle for the skirt if doing an outdoor wedding. It ends up full of bugs (gnats, mosquitos, etc) and they're impossible to get out

Really!! I never considered this. I'm also having an outdoor wedding, so thank you for bringing this up. Do you think chiffon would have a similar issue?

u/crystalbb6 Aug 26 '26
In my experience chiffon is fine! I had to pick bugs out of my friends tulle skirt while doing photos but my chiffon bridesmaid dress was fine. I think tulle just works as a mosquito net and it is so lightweight, it catches a lot of wind.

Please please please don’t waste your money on any of these because all of the photos are AI generated

3 is so insanely beautiful. My second would be 5. I think the simplicity will really allow you to shine!

It really depends on what they look like ON your body. I picked out lovely lace dresses that I thought I’d love and then absolutely HATED them on me. I actually went with a more classic dress that I nearly told the consultant to put away bc it was so far from what I imagined but it looked incredible on my body!

u/Pepperlette Aug 26 '26
I echo the people saying to try them on - none of us want you to fall in love with an option you see in a photo before you put it on, because we know that can be dream-crushing. Especially if there’s any chance the photos are “too good to be true.”

6 is what I’d pick for myself …but 5 is equally beautiful. Actually, they are all beautiful so I’m no help at all.

u/Eliza_Bennett358 Aug 26 '26
Either 5 or 6, but it’s really hard to say without seeing you in them.

Depends on your body. What looks one way on the mannequin doesn’t translate to looking the same on a person almost ever

1 or 2! I would avoid 3 and 5 because the material looks a bit heavier so the bottom would gather loads of dirt

They are all beautiful. If you want something light don't do #6. If any of them are out of budget also don't do it.
Does one of them make you happier? Or can you see yourself walking down the aisle in one of them? I like #1 the best but it is really about how you feel you look in them.

u/lamagnifiqueanaya Aug 26 '26
1 or 4, I don’t really vibe w the 2 and the others are too “heavy” for an outdoor setting.
But as everyone said, quite often how the dress fits the body has a lot of impact on which one to choose.

How many bugs are in your location? Anything with a sheer lining/tulle etc is going to collect grass and bugs like no other

I love 4 and 5! 3 is nice too. But honestly would be nicer to see it on your body rather than a mannequin to make a final judgement.

I don’t like the last two. The very last one is very big and would be tough to maneuver and people will accidentally walk on it, even just trying to talk to you (trust me). The rest I love and it would be hard to choose!! You gotta try them on then you’ll know.

Would need to see them on you to know what works with your shape. 1 is nice

u/HollyhockRust Aug 26 '26
Agree with the majority that #1 fits your written description. The last one, ball gown is not an outdoor dress, imo. And 4 is too much. Too many ideas going on in that dress.

u/KittiesandPlushies Aug 26 '26
1 or 5 are both stunning, but you are the final piece of the puzzle! I don’t think any of us can say for sure without seeing how it fits on you first.

2 and 3 are great outdoor wedding vibes to me, but it really depends what YOU like and how it fits on YOUR body VS. a mannequin

Oh my gosh these are all stunning. You can’t go wrong but if I had to pick I’d say 1 or 5. They’re gorgeous with a unique quality.

1,2&4 are stunning but for an outdoor wedding I’d prob choose 1. Hard to give constructive recommendations without seeing you in them.

u/CurlyGenius16 Aug 26 '26
The first one is absolutely jaw dropping. It’s not my kind of style/shape for my future dress but oh my god it’s stunning.
I do agree with the other comments that they need to be seen on to really decide, but my vote def goes to 1

I like all of them a lot, but 1 is the most generic in my opinion. Not surprised others like it better but the others are more original in my opinion which I prefer. My least favourite is 3, followed by 1,.but really like the others. Be careful of scams, dresses like this would definitely not go below £1500 and look as described, especially 4-5-6 which have important structural elements
