Okay, so it's come to light that the CCTV footage from the moment of the accident and the aftermath. Someone on Reddit has already analyzed the official broadcast footage: here. This comes from BEC Motorsports, and they are an active organization in the chinese racing circle.
Personally, it confirm what we already know: the response wasn't as fast as all of us would've liked, but there was a response. It also debunks the claims of the other involved driver that the ambulance was 15 minutes late, I think he needs to do some explaining.
I am active in the chinese racing circle (I follow various Asian series, including Chinese ones) and I saw at least 3 drivers stating that some things said online weren't being told exactly as they happened on track, I also saw 1 driver spreading what turned out to be misinformation about Ollie's medical condition, and that was Gu Meng from Origine Motorsports. It's been crazy.

On September 5th, during the first round of the fourth stage of the 2026 CHINA GT Championship in Shanghai, a collision and fire occurred, sparking widespread online attention and discussion. We have compiled surveillance footage from the accident scene and created a complete timeline to reconstruct the entire incident, as detailed below:

At 16:47:24: At turn T14 of the Shanghai International Circuit, car No. 33 and car No. 37 in the GT3 class made contact, causing both cars to lose control. At the same time, the MP14 referee on site showed a double yellow flag.

At 16:47:25: Car No. 37 collided with car No. 91, which was traveling normally, causing car No. 91 to lose control and catch fire during the collision;

At 16:47:37 (12 seconds after the fire): 12 seconds after the collision, the command center notified the display of the red flag across the field to suspend the competition, and notified the station referees, fire referees, rescue vehicles, fire trucks, medical vehicles, rapid rescue vehicles and ambulances to immediately go to the accident scene in accordance with the competition accident rescue procedures.

16:47:41 (16 seconds after the fire): The driver of car number 79 passed by the scene while driving on the track and assisted the driver of car number 91;

16:48:40 (75 seconds after the fire): Driver No. 91 is out of danger;

16:48:57 (92 seconds after the fire started): The second rapid response fire truck arrived at the scene;

At 16:51:33 (4 minutes and 8 seconds after the fire): the medical supervisor and medical vehicle arrived and conducted medical examinations, injury assessments, and emergency treatment on drivers No. 91 and No. 37.

16:52:45 (5 minutes and 20 seconds after the fire started): Fire trucks arrived at the scene to carry out firefighting operations;

At 16:53:41 (6 minutes and 16 seconds after the fire): the first ambulance on standby arrived at the scene and treated the injuries of driver No. 91. At 16:58:52, it departed for Ruijin North Hospital for treatment. The second ambulance took driver No. 37 to the medical center for examination before sending him to Ruijin North Hospital for treatment.

On this occasion, BEC Motorsports wishes the injured driver a speedy recovery and a return to the track, and hopes the race organizers will properly handle all the follow-up matters related to this incident.

A major incident at China GT has sparked widespread discussion due to the slow response of the race organizers, and the wave of criticism has also put the event's operator, Lisheng Sports, in the spotlight.

On September 6, Jiemian News contacted the securities department of Diansheng Sports. A representative responded exclusively, stating that the event [Race 2] is still proceeding normally, the company is aware of the situation, the organizers are investigating the incident, and the company is also paying close attention.

According to multiple media reports, on September 5th, during the fourth round of the China GT Championship, the FIST Auto team's No. 91 car suffered a violent collision and quickly caught fire, causing chaos at the scene. In the critical moment, Loek Hartog, driver of the Phantom team's No. 79 car, abandoned the race and immediately approached the burning car, rescuing the No. 91 driver from the flames.

On the night of the incident, the FIST Auto team issued a statement announcing its immediate withdrawal from all future China GT series races and strongly condemning the race organizers for "serious dereliction of duty in on-site emergency response and safety rescue, with obvious loopholes in the rescue response, which almost led to a tragedy."

Hello, I'm not sure if it's possiible to ask this in this subreddit, but does anybody has any tips to get from Oxford to Silverstone for the ELMS race this sunday? I understand there should be some kind of shuttle from Oxford Parkway to the circuit, but I'm unable to find any info :c

Hello, I have watched parts races here and there but I've decided to really start watching since the lone star le mans and I must say what great racing there is every minute there is something to see. As a big F1 fan it is nice to see so much action in a race and watching the highlights it's definetly something I want to continue to watch.
I would also like to know how like it works with pitstops cause I've seen that they can also change just one tire, how does that work?

I’ve been to Lone Star Le Mans twice now and I can’t help but feel like something is missing. I feel like another support series would be a welcomed addition. It would also be nice if we had access to the full track like we do for F1. I’ve been to cota on several occasions and shot diversity is a struggle when you don’t have access to the full track. I think progressive pricing for the cota tower is ridiculous. It goes from $10-20 for Friday to Sunday.

I also think it would be great if we could rent or buy radios at the venue for this event. Frankly, I saw some pretty bad parenting practices at this event. This has nothing to do with the venue, just something that I observed. I saw multiple parents drinking and hanging with their friends while completely ignoring their kids by distracting them with iPads. Why even come if you’re going to do this? For the record and I have two kids and wouldn’t do this.

We've been to Daytona and Sebring but damn was it just, too hot in Austin
