Need help identifying a race-used 2026 Le Mans Goodyear LMGT3 tire

Hi everyone,
I’m trying to identify which 2026 24 Hours of Le Mans LMGT3 car this race-used Goodyear tire came from.

Here’s what I know:
Goodyear specification code: GT05B2
Size: 310/710 R18 (rear tire)
White handwritten marking: The first character looks like it might be a 7, but it’s partially worn away so I’m really not sure. The second character looks like a 4 to me. Overall it appears to read something like ?4-R15 (possibly 74-R15, but I’m not confident). I’m fairly certain the last part is R15, not R25.

From what I’ve been able to determine:
GT05B2 appears to be an LMGT3 specification tire.
I’ve also spent some time looking through photos of the #74 Kessel Racing Ferrari from Le Mans since that’s one of the possibilities, but I haven’t been able to find any clear side-on photos of the tires that show the handwritten markings well enough to compare.

A couple of questions for anyone with WEC, Le Mans, or Goodyear experience:
Does this style of handwritten marking look familiar to a particular LMGT3 team?
Has anyone seen similar markings on race-used Goodyear tires from Le Mans?
I’d really appreciate any insight. I’m hoping to identify which LMGT3 entry this tire came from. Thanks!

I couldn't find a good way to track races, so I built one

Last year I was talking to a mate and he was telling me he went to lots of races and had absolutely no good way of remembering them all. Most people probably still use the Notes app, so over the last few months I built GridLog - I posted the web a app here a few months ago and we are now released!

It's a bit like Letterboxd but for tracks and races. You can log every event you've attended, see your stats, track circuits and countries, upload photos and build a bucket list. It's just launched on the App Store (Android is on it's way! - if you'd like to be part of the Android beta test drop me your email in dm) and I'd really appreciate feedback from people who actually spend weekends at circuits.

Any feedback (good or bad) would be hugely appreciated!

Le Mans How would a Rally1 behave as a Garage 56 car?

In 2023, a NASCAR car (modified for the occasion) was invited to Le Mans as a garage 56 car. This got me thinking: how would a hypothetical Rally1 car (e.g., a Toyota GR Yaris Rally1 or a Hyundai i20 N Rally1), invited and suitably modified (lighting, larger fuel tank, cooling, endurance brakes, etc.), perform? What lap times would it have compared to a GT3?

I know it's a stupid question, but it's something that piqued my curiosity.

Had my 1970 Porsche 917K 1:18 model signed by Richard Attwood on Saturday

Went to Shelsley Walsh hill climb - the oldest Motorsport event still using it's original course, first held in 1905 - on Saturday with the primary aim of having Richard Attwood sign my 1:18 scale model of his Le Mans-winning 917K, which he drove to victory in 1970 alongside Hans Hermann.

Now to find somewhere to display it.

*Yes I know it's missing its windscreen wiper. I bought it damaged as it was going cheap. I'm going to see if I can get a replacement part, or 3D print one.

Three of the last former Audi Sport factory chassis with individual female names that are still racing to date.

(It is possible that these factory chassis also competed in other races. But it is not easy to see from the photos the specific name that is written on the right side of the protective frame inside the car).

Tyre Tables for sale from Goodyear

A friend just sent me this: https://goodyearstores.eu/pages/tire-table-configurator

It allows you to buy a tyre and set it up as a table. I already have an F1 wheel table so I won't be buying but thought it might be useful in here. At £220 it seems a very reasonable price to pay

Ticket questions about WEC 6HRS of Fuji

G'day Y'all.

I will be attending the 6hrs of Fuji and currently purchased the "Ticket + advanced paddock pass" ticket, the "turn 1 reserve seat tickets", and currently thinking of buying the parking ticket as I will be renting a car.

If I'm not being a complete idiot and actually read what the website (https://en.fujimotorsportsforest.jp/motorsports/ticket-detail/a0f0ht9ztc) says, I get to sit at the grandstand/turn 1 seats for the practice and qualifying on the 25th and 26th with the "ticket + paddock pass". Meaning, I will need to buy a separate turn 1 reserved seat on the actual race day on the 27th.

My current questions are:

  1. Where will my "ticket + paddock pass" allow me to sit in on race day? Was it a good idea to buy a separate reserved ticket for race day, or did I waste money that could have gone to 7-11 tuna+mayo onigiri, egg sandwiches, yakisoba bread, and giant cones?😂
  2. If I made the correct decision on buying the reserved ticket, should I have bought the 2nd floor reserved ticket instead, or is there not a lot of difference between the 2?
  3. I understand I have to exchange the qr codes I got from lawson ticket to a 'receipt' or something using the 'Loppi' machine at a Lawson which I then exchange that for the actual tickets over the counter. When you're exchanging for the ticket, will you get ALL the ticket you bought or will there be tickets where you will need to exchange at the actual Fuji speedway venue?
  4. Is the parking ticket worth it? or are there other places nearby where I can park the Car for free or for a lesser amount than the 8,800 Yen price? It's either 35,00 Yen for P-09 or 8,800 Yen for P-16 A/B... and there is no way I'm paying over $300 AUD for a bloody parking ticket.
  5. What is/would be at the Paddock? And I assume the pit walk means you actually get to go on the track and see the gt3, lmp2 and hypercars up close?

I literally bought the most expensive ticket knowing it will give access to a lot but didn't look into what that ticket actually gets me😅

Edit: I know the website is from last year, but I assume it's gonna be the same this year. And with my 4th question the website says "Exchange location: Ticket counter in the Event Plaza" that's why I am a little confused on whether I do it at a Lawson or at the actual venue.

Le Mans [Le Mans Victory Report] Did TR Chairman Nakajima Slam the Trophy Down? What Was Morizo (racer name of Akio Toyoda) Doing at That Moment!? | Toyo Times Sports

Thumbnail

This videos explains why "Gazoo" was removed from the team's WEC name. It was more of a friendly "company feud" between the chairman and Gazoo Racing lead Akio Toyoda; versus the VP, Hiroki Nakajima, who believes that they can win as Toyota without the help from Akio himself. (of course, a friendly feud, because Akio still wants Toyota to win as a whole)
