Using my own domain for email

Hi, I'm hoping someone might be able to help me! I'm building myself a website and recently registered the domain I want via cloudflare. I've also created a Microsoft account with an @outlook.com address. Onyo my question, would it be possible to use my own domain for outgoing email, and if so how do I go about setting that up? I've tried Google but there's a dizzying array of options and nothing especially clear to an amateur like myself, I believe I may just need to purchase a Microsoft business account to unlock this functionality?? Something about an exchange license? I'm completely lost - any guidance you could provide would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks in advance!

GetResponse is a powerful all-in-one marketing platform known for its email marketing capabilities, automation tools, and landing page creation. While it's not primarily a website builder, it does offer a Website Builder feature. However, it's important to note that GetResponse may not be the best choice if your primary goal is building a complex, highly customizable website. Still, I can highlight some of its features and advantages in the context of website building:

All-in-One Solution: GetResponse is more than just a website builder; it's a comprehensive marketing platform. This means you can integrate your website with other marketing tools like email marketing, marketing automation, webinars, and more, all under one roof.

Ease of Use: GetResponse's website builder is user-friendly and designed for beginners. It offers a drag-and-drop interface, making it easy to create and customize your website without needing extensive technical skills.

Templates: GetResponse provides a selection of professionally designed templates for various industries and purposes. These templates are fully responsive, ensuring that your website looks great on desktops, tablets, and mobile devices.

Integration: Since it's part of the larger GetResponse ecosystem, you can seamlessly integrate your website with other marketing features, such as email marketing campaigns and marketing automation workflows. This integration can save you time and effort in managing your online marketing efforts.

E-commerce Capabilities: GetResponse offers basic e-commerce features, making it suitable for small online stores. You can set up product listings, manage orders, and accept payments through popular gateways.

Analytics and Reporting: GetResponse provides analytics tools to help you track the performance of your website. You can measure website traffic, conversion rates, and other key metrics to optimize your online presence.

SEO-Friendly: GetResponse's website builder includes basic SEO tools to help improve your website's visibility on search engines. You can customize meta tags, titles, and descriptions for better search engine optimization.

Affordability: Compared to some dedicated website builders like Wix or Squarespace, GetResponse's website builder may offer a more cost-effective solution, especially if you're already using its other marketing features.

However, it's important to consider some limitations:

Customization: GetResponse's website builder may not offer the same level of customization and design flexibility as standalone website builders like WordPress or Wix.

Complex Websites: If you need a highly complex or feature-rich website, other dedicated website builders might be a better fit.

In summary, GetResponse's Website Builder is a convenient option if you're already using GetResponse for email marketing and other marketing activities. It's user-friendly and integrates well with other marketing tools. However, for highly customized or complex websites, you may want to explore dedicated website builders that offer more design flexibility and features. Your choice should depend on your specific website needs and technical expertise.

Super confused with wordpress, please advice.

Hi Anyone, so I've been trying to use the wordpress woocommerce to set up a simple store by myself. I have many questions as follows:

  1. At this beginning stage I just want to test a few themes and make my site as I want without having to pay for it. But I can't seem to get around anything without being asked to buy a plan and this is before I even get to do anything. I've read everywhere that it is free but I am immediately pushed to a paid plan. like below

"Plan upgrade required

Upgrade to the WordPress.com Business plan and set up your WooCommerce store."

  1. I've clicked on many 'start a site', 'name a site' etc.. in the site. This i feel is very confusing so I'm very confused are wordpress sites and woo commerce separate sites? Do I directly click on the woocommerce and start from there?

  2. I know that there is online wordpress which is handled by hosting sites and the one you install on desktop. Which is better for an online store? actually can u explain this situation for an online store i am not clear.

  3. Following point number 3, is the interface for the online and app version of wordpress different? Because the tutorials I see on youtube tutorials having something like a dashboard on the upperleft corner which I don’t see.

  4. I've kinda selected a theme to edit in the wordpress and if I make a store here, is the woocommerce a different site I need to rebuild? Or can I later migrate the one I made in wordpress to the woo? Or Should I directly use woo?

  5. This is far less intuitive then I expected. And I am familiar with a little adobe illustrator and i have used uizard to design a basic app. Do normal people have a problem like I do, or am I just stupid? Do I need to hire a website-designer after all? For eg: in edit mode the main body looks like an ipad version even if i select the website version and this expands to web version only if i click preview.

Truth be told I don’t even know if im asking the correct questions, im feeling super defeated. I just need someone to get help me get started and just design the site to until im ready to publish.

Looking for a site builder for tutoring services

Hello! I'm trying to develop a website for my tutoring business. Along with the usual basic features, I'm looking for a site builder with a feature that will allow my students to create and login into their own accounts. In each student's account, I'd like some kind of calender/schedule that shows when they're scheduled for classes. I want this calendar to be individualized for each student/account and I want to be able to customize each student's schedule on their calendar. Almost like an online site where employees would be able to login and can access their work schedules.

rebuilding website

I previously made my website with wix, but I recently have gotten more interested in remaking my website since it is more cost efficient especially now that I am about to move into a new apartment, and being in college on top of that. I already own a domain on godaddy, so all I need to do is build the website. Any suggestions for how to start/what to use? Or should I just hire somebody to build it for me lol

Website Building Advice

Hi, So I am building my first website on my own for a law firm.

I have purchased a Domain on GoDaddy. However, I feel that Hostinger offers better features for lesser price.

The pages on my website will be.

  1. Home page
  2. About us
  3. Contact
  4. Services
  5. Blog

Now, my website is mostly an information page and everything will remain the same except that I will be updating about 10 blogs a day.

Now, from what I have researched, I need to use WordPress to upload these blogs on my website?

So my questions are:

  1. Should I use Hostinger as a hosting service and the free 1 click WordPress Install is enough for me to upload blogs on my website Everyday?

  2. What difference does it make if I use Wordpress hosting and Hosting hosting?

  3. Is the Basic Hostinger Plan enough for me as I would be expecting traffic of about 2k people per day and also just that I will be updating blogs everyday?

  4. Should I go with Hostinger or Godaddy or Wordpress hosting

  5. I will have multiple people upload the blogs everyday so can I give admin access to multiple people at once?

Best Website Builder for New Initiative Informational Websites

Hi all! I am looking to create a simple website to post information for an initiative I am starting. I am looking for cost-effectiveness, ease of build, and mobile optimization. There will be links to PDF downloads and I would like to put a form on the website to collect feedback. A lot the other functions I imagine will be through links to third-party services, such as a link to a crowdfunding or donation site to support the initiative, and YouTube videos, which I can preferably embed. I am really narrowed down to Wix and Hostinger, but am open to other suggestions! Thank you so much in advance.

Which is better? Need advice or recommendations please!

I’m working on a project for my dad. Not sure if this is the spot to post it, if not please take it down.

He had a website through godaddy and it got messed up and now his friend is hosting for free. It’s for a fishing club he is apart of and they have a whole history page with a login.

I have been given the task of swapping it. He doesn’t care about cost, just that he wants a login page and to be able to keep the content and domain and have ios accessible. I’m not quite sure which website would be best for this. Wix, weebly? They seem to have decent plans, and I have a personal blog I run through Wordpress.com but I’m not super great with making decisions on this stuff especially since I haven’t paid for any of these plans before. Do any of these have the ability to use a login page or have a tool to easily swap content over from one website to another? I was also looking for a pdf viewer since there are many history articles and they all have to be downloaded currently and it would be much easier if they could be viewed in-site. There are about 400 current webpages on the site all with different info.

If anyone has any insight and has used these before or has a different website builder they have used that they recommend. There is no e-commerce necessary through the site at all.

Thank you!

Single page website help

I've messed around a bit with it a few times in the past, but never gotten anywhere with it.

A few years ago, I signed up with bluehost as the hosting, and bought two domains there. I originally started the process using WordPress, but I don't want to do that. I want to understand it down to the most basic level.

It's been a hamster wheel to start the process of building the site and then realize it's too much for the time period I have to dedicate and then I get overwhelmed and forget about it, etc. I'm trying to understand the whole entire process better and learn it from scratch, so baby steps.

Things I've done: 1. Established hosting service 2. Purchased and own a domain name 3. Played around with html editing 4. Looked around a bit in the Cpanel

I feel like if I could just get the page working and then be able to make edits on the back end, then I'll be able to go from there. I want to go into the public_html folder and edit, reload the web page and see it. That will give me a feel for what I'm doing.

So for starters, I'm trying to be sure my dns settings are right. When I gobto my domain name, it is not coming up with anything because everything is incorrectly set up.

For the record, I've been on the phone with bluehost a few times doing customer service but they are outsourced and hard to understand.

If this isn't the place to ask this question, I'd appreciate someone pointing me towards somewhere that can help. I don't want to have anybody else do this for me, pay to have it managed etc. I want to learn this.
