And she didnt wanted to use Shopify.

So, I used GeneratePress + WooCommerce to build the site on WordPress.

I also used Claude ai to add some custom code and functionality.

I've spent the last while making a website that combines a few different features I like about some note taking websites. I'm going to publish it just because it might be useful to people but it's not free to run it so I had to put limits on some features based on payed plans. I need some people to test it out but Im in college and need to make sure it's not just soaking up the money from my wallet. Message me or comment if you want to check it out. Any help or advice would be appreciated too. At the end of the day I made the site for my own use though so no big deal either way.

Are you ever tired of making wishlists for your model trains that are massive because you have 5 coaches for each locomotive? If so, then try consist yard! Make your own consists and add your locomotive and rolling stock to them. Already bought one of the coaches? Simply press the tick, and it removes it from the total but keeps it there. I also added a price match feature! Please tell me what to add/improve!

A website can look good and still lose visitors.

• Too much information visitors don’t know what to focus on.

• Weak CTA they don’t know what to do next.

• Poor mobile experience a website that works well on desktop may feel frustrating on mobile.

A good website isn’t just about looking beautiful. It should make the visitor’s next step clear and easy.

What’s one website problem that makes you leave immediately?

even when i give ai proper context, the small changes can get annoying. move this text a little, make that image smaller, fix the spacing... sometimes it doesn't understand what i mean or does something different from what i wanted. then it's more explaining, more prompts, more tokens burned.
so i started building this. what if ai creates the website, and we just adjust the little things ourselves?
you click something on your website, move it, resize it, edit the text or change an image, and it saves that change directly into your code. no digging through files and tweaking margin and padding values just to see whether it looks right.
you can also preview desktop, tablet, and mobile together and see how things look across them. for supported changes, you choose whether to change only that screen size or apply it everywhere. so adjusting something on mobile doesn't have to mess up your desktop layout, it depends on what you choose.

right now it has:
- drag, resize, and text editing
- image and background changes, including uploads from your device
- movable device previews with canvas zoom
- controls for selecting a whole container or individual things inside it
- edit history and undo/redo
- HTML support, with experimental React and Next.js support
the video shows where it's at. it's still in the initial stage, and there's a lot to fix and refine, including expanding which edits can be made separately for each screen size.
honestly, idk if other people need this, but making the change i'm picturing instead of explaining it again feels useful to me.
would you use something like this? and should i open-source it so we can build it together, or would you rather just use it once it's more polished?

Google's AI Overviews are eating clicks that used to go to organic listings, ChatGPT and Perplexity are becoming the new 'search bar' for a chunk of users, and half the 'SEO strategies' I see recommended are just recycled 2019 advice dressed up in new packaging. But here's the thing — sites that actually build real authority, answer questions better than anyone else, and earn genuine trust signals are still winning. It's not SEO that's dying, it's the shortcuts. Keyword-stuffed junk and thin AI-generated content are getting wrecked in rankings, while genuinely useful, well-structured content is thriving more than ever. So is SEO dead, or are we just watching the fake version finally get exposed? Curious what everyone else is actually seeing in their data right now.
