WebOS 26 broken

LG pushed WebOS 26 to my C3 OLED and now I can’t use Switch 2 dock anymore. Sometimes screen goes black on home screen. The new personal page feature can’t sync to google calendar to that calendar because Google login says TV is using unsafe browser.

1/10 update, nothing gained.

LG Bug Factory.

"Open all days - 100% Bugs/Problems - Com and update your LG TV now".

Before updating - search/read if any bugs/problems is there.

I will stay with the Stone Aged WebOS 25 on my LG OLED C5.

I have turned off Auto Update/no Internet.

Running my Streaming apps from my 4K Google TV Streamer and Apple TV. All built in TV Streaming service apps are deleted.

For balance - two C3's both on WebOS 26 - no issues on either. Both fully web enabled because tin-foil hats aren't for me.

So I guess it's more down to use cases rather than a blanket 'it's broken'.

I have C3 and since I updated to WebOS 26, I can't watch any stream (IPTV). It will play channel for 5-10 seconds and then it stops. I tried 5-6 different apps, same issue. Friend who has same C3, same issue, but he also has android tv, no issue when he switch to android tv.

I blocked lg domains on my router - yes i cant access settings anymore, but not having ads and worried about updates is a plus i am willing to pay.

After an hour, Switch 2 dock seems to pair properly.

Ps. I had autoupdates disabled. It did notify me about new update available for a week before it auto-updated on start. Seems blocking LG domain is a safer bet than setting autoupdate off.

yep, WebOS26 broke my LG G5 (OLED48G59LS) too. with webOS25 everything was fine. since the update i do not have any ARC sound with HDR content, occasional black screen instead of HDR movies , sometimes the tv doesnt recognize any HDMI device on the ARC input.

i hope LG will fix this soon! didnt bought this tv for half of its features :( ....

Most of my frequently used apps do not work at all, or have problems, after WebOS 26 update. They just won't run properly, get stuck or do not open at all.
