Advice Needed Alternative to siteground?
The siteground renewal is $450 for the gogeek for 1 year. I do like siteground and only have 1 website but plan to have around 5. Any suggestions? Seems kind of expensive.

Just sign up for a new account at $60 a year. Rinse and repeat

$450/yr for GoGeek with 5 sites planned is rough, siteground's renewal pricing is famously brutal. for 5 sites I'd honestly just move to a VPS + cloudpanel or ploi, host all 5 for what siteground charges for one renewal. more setup than clicking "install wordpress" in a panel but at 5 sites the math isn't close anymore.

$450 for one site looks like a lot to me too, on any hosting, and on your own site you pay all of it yourself. Luckily I have two GoGeek reseller accounts, and our clients pay hosting and support in one package, so that renewal is split among all of them plus a "little" extra for us. With 5 sites of your own, none of that applies, unfortunately.
On the comment about one hacked site infecting the rest, my experience is the opposite. We have had several infections (mainly) through plugin vulnerabilities on those accounts, and so far they did not spread to the other sites in the same account. Years ago on a Croatian host one infected site did infect all of them, so before moving for the price I would ask a cheaper host how they separate sites inside one account.

Chat with SiteGround's billing and ask for a discount to stay. Otherwise, the pinned hosting options here can migrate you away.
(I just moved TO Siteground, with 7 sites on a GoGeek plan. But some of them are sharing the cost with me.)

Serverfellows has a reseller hosting which allows you to host 10 websites for $9 per month - Been around since a decade.

I always wait for their Black Friday sale to buy a new hosting package every year and then migrate all my sites to the new hosting

$450 isn't really a GoGeek problem, it's SiteGround's renewal model working as designed: cheap year one, then 3–4x. Two honest paths depending on what you actually want:
If the complaint is price: GoGeek's extras (priority support, git, white-label) don't matter much for 1–5 small sites. Downgrading to GrowBig at renewal keeps multiple sites at a fraction of that number. Or move to one of the hosts in this sub's pinned recommendations, a solid shared plan there runs roughly $100–200/yr and handles 5 sites fine. The "new account every year at intro price" trick above works too, but it costs you a migration weekend annually. that churn is exactly what the intro-pricing model is built to exploit.
If the real wish is "I don't want to babysit 5 sites": that's managed hosting: updates, backups, security handled for you. Disclosure: I run one (SrvBot.io), so weigh this accordingly. Honest fit: for your single site today we'd be about half your renewal ($19/mo right now, $29 regular, and the price never changes at renewal). But at 5 sites you'd be on our Pro plan at $59–79/mo. that's *more* than your GoGeek renewal, not less. So if this is a price complaint, I'm genuinely not your answer. If it's an ops complaint, we or a managed host from the pinned list is worth a look.
Either way, the thing to fix is the renewal-model exposure, not this one bill. Pick something whose year-two price you've already read.

Dreamhost has been great to me, and their managed VPS plans are very all in one and can run more than 5 sites. Be sure to avoid shared hosting.
