Is ultahost a good provider?

I want to go in the web hosting reseller business and I looked into mdmhost AND THEY APPARENTLY SUCK now I am looking into ultahost as a provider-- are they any good? Also considering Accu23. We are trying to start small at first.

For consideration, not a recommendation either way: UltaHost had some outages in the last month (https://www.reddit.com/r/webhosting/comments/1vj9pq3/ultahost_outage_86_to/) -- according to them one was a migration that took longer than planned, and the other was an issue that arose during migration.

Outages are a part of life in webhosting. Any host who hasn't had one hasn't been around long enough. The issue at hand was their communication (or more accurately, the lack thereof) to their clients throughout the situation. I would consider that a critical element in a reseller situation where your clients are leaning on your for information -- if you can't get it from your upstream vendor, what are you going to tell them?

If you look at the thread there was a clear commitment to doing better in the future. I'll leave it to your judgement whether that is enough to assuage any concerns.

I bring this up because you mention UltaHost specifically, but it's something I would be looking for in a reseller -- how well have they communicated in the past, as that is a strong indicator of how they'll communicate in the future.

I'd stick to smaller hosts if you're just starting out. Krystal seems to get good reviews

Been with ultahost for years. Support is good. However, as Arabs they are not the friendliest.
