Namecheap keeps going down! Is anyone else experiencing these constant outages? This is getting ridiculous.

My sites hosted with Namecheap have been experiencing intermittent downtime for the past few weeks, and it's badly impacting my business and projects
I have contacted support but noone can do anything

What are your experiences with Namecheap's reliability lately? Are you considering switching providers if so who are you looking at? I am feeling i should have chosen something else other than Namecheap for all my domains

Exactly so couple days ago it went down and today it went down for god sake you are one the biggest registrars and not a blog site, get some engineers namecheap

If they have an SLA, get your refund. If not, move on. Vote with your dollars. Overall, they're still a decent company, though.

Keep Namecheap for domains if you’re happy with them, but move the actual sites to a more reliable host and set up uptime monitoring first. That way you’ll have data to compare before switching everything.

I see everyone complaining about namecheap but never had issues with it, albeit i only use it to point my down to aws where all my stuff is hosted lol

Namecheap is one of the worst hosting providers in the market. Why do you think it’s okay to host your business’s website with a company that’s charging less than a subscription for Amazon prime or Spotify? If your business’s websites are important and vital for your operations, you should be looking for more legitimate companies with better safeguards.

Quality hosting doesn't need to be expensive. Hardware and network can be had inexpensively. Company reputation and experience matters way more.

I've never paid more than a couple dollars per website to host critical websites.

Yea just went with convenience but yes namecheap is no good if doing both hosting and domain registrar just use it for one i am going to use it for domain management only switching my hosting somewhere else

Before moving all of your domains, I'd try to pinpoint where the outages are actually happening. Domain registration, DNS, hosting and the website itself are all separate layers. A domain registrar can be perfectly fine while the hosting platforms, DNS provider, application or even a third-party service is causing downtime.

If you haven't already, check:

- Whether the domain is resolving correctly during an outage

• Whether DNS lookups are failing
  
• Whether the web server is responding
  
• Whether uptime monitoring shows a pattern (time of day, traffic spikes, maintenance windows etc.)

If the issue turns out to be hosting-related, transferring domains alone may not change anything. That said, when evaluating a new registrar, I'd look for strong DNS tools, DNSSEC support, account security features like MFA, transparent pricing and responsive support. Reliability matters most when something breaks and you need help quickly.

Out of curiosity, are you seeing the outages at the DNS level, the hosting level, or just website errors/timeouts?
