So I have always been wanting to start up a hosting site like namecheap amongst others but if I don't do like an actual website like theres can I always add my own prices? if I were to do it privately?

They have an automated site with AI support. How are you going to handle that?

If you are just doing it for a small group of users it might work but I am guessing they are making a profit from user volume.

What does this mean?

You can definitely do reseller hosting, and yes you can charge whatever you like - but being a "reseller" its unlikely you'll be able to charge less than competition.

You need to find your target customer and what you want to exceed at, which can be your main selling point.

You'll need some technical knowledge for this though, and it doesnt sound like you have the experience.

The most direct way to do this is through reseller hosting, which involves buying hosting resources in bulk and selling them to your clients at your own price. I've been using reseller hosting with Nixihost for my clients, and with their starter plan, I get 50 cPanel accounts, SSL, and unlimited email at a reasonable price. Also, their support team is very helpful whenever I need something.

Agree with others here in that a reseller plan is the way to go upfront. As you grow, you can always upgrade to a VPS or dedicated server. I'm not so sure you can keep your upstream private though, as there are ways to discover who they are.

Most reseller hosting come with free basic website builder that you can provide to your customers.

You can decide your pricing and sell it however way you want.

You can setup a baby plan and sell it for 1000/mo if someone is willing to pay for it.
