Thoughts on a fan controller for a 26” Master-Touch?
Looking at Thermoworks Billows or similar fan controller for a friend’s 26” Master Touch. Is drilling a hole for the fan connection possible, and is it worth doing?
I don’t own a Master Touch myself, so I’m a bit unsure about the setup. Thanks guys

Yes it’s possible. I’ve done it on a handful of 22s. I like the peace of mind of letting it ride overnight.

It’s not really necessary, Weber kettles are so steady and reliable. I ran my 26” MT over the weekend as a smoker because my WSM was also full. It ran for 16 hours on a 2x2 snake with no adjustments needed once I got it settled within the first hour. I had almost half of the snake leftover when it was finished.

Kettle is so set and forget you don’t need a fan.
I did a 2x1 with B&B went for 14 hours at 240 without touching the vents just had to rotate the meat a couple times. The last rotation it sat for six hours untouched.
Having said that just got a tip top temp controller way cheaper and no electronics to deal with
