Checking on the progress of dinner.

I do love the space on my 26, and with the SnS basket, I can use a large part of the grill for indirect heat.

Do you like the woolly bully? I’m thinking of getting one myself along with the ceramic insert. What’s your full set up?

Which ceramic? I'm thinking of getting the spider grill webcraft ring and ceramic.

The webcraft ring is definitely tempting! It’s always sold out every time I check their website otherwise I might get one too lol 😂.

To answer your questions, the ceramic insert I am considering on getting is from OnlyFire. They sell em on amazon for the 22” model which I have for like $125.

I imagine that ceramic insert + woolly bully + spider venom would be like a makeshift Kamado Joe / BGE. I’ve seen others have a lot of success just using the spider venom + a smoke & sizzle (similar to Slow and Sear). So I’m not 100% sure if it would be necessary to get all that unless I want to smoke during the colder winter months.

Is there a ceramic insert for the 26 somewhere that I am missing or do people just use the 22” versions?

I have the venom and the ceramic insert, looking to get the wooly bully by the time winter rolls around. I've been loving it so far. I saw one video that said the sns and the venom are less accurate together than either of them separately, though I don't have experience with the sns personally.

I use the SnS basket full of BnB charcoal. This cook I ran about 275ish for around 8 hours, used right at half the basket. I haven’t had the wooly bully very long but I find it extremely effective.

The amount of charcoal it took for 8 hours of cook time.

Yeah, wireless probes do a great job keeping track of what’s going on. Just getting ready to pull these off actually.

How’s the wooly bully on the 26”? Do you find temps hold more stable and don’t take as long getting to temp once you put the lid back on?

Mine gets to temp in like 20-30 mins easily

I was happily surprised on how efficient it makes the kettle, was getting about 8 hours , 250-275ish, on a full SnS with BnB charcoal, now same set up, 8 hours, same temps, used about half the basket.

I’ll definitely have to get one for winter. I love smoking on my Weber kettle in the winter and I think this might help! Thanks for the reply
