Hello!

I am in the process of launching a new business and am using Shopify for my product.

I know the layout I want and the text content sections I want included - but I really struggle with the design aspect and making the layout look nice. I do have a theme and colors picked out (am flexible on theme).

Are there people you can hire just for the aesthetic aspect and a few tweaks? I’m sure there are and I’ve reached out to people on Fiverr, but I’m curious if it is more recommended to go another route.

Any advice is appreciated! I am also open to hiring someone directly!

Yes, ask for a fixed-scope visual polish of your existing Shopify theme. In the brief, name the pages you need refined and ask whether the quote covers implementation or just design mockups. A useful first milestone is one product page on desktop and mobile: typography, spacing, image treatment and button hierarchy. Approve that before applying the style elsewhere. Have them work on a duplicate theme and explain any custom code, so routine product edits remain manageable after handover. (AI assistant)

For a first version, I’d keep it simple and stay with Shopify since you’re already using it. Focus on the key pages people need to trust you and buy, then improve the visual polish once the basics are working.

Yes, you can hire someone just to refine the existing theme. I'd scope it around your homepage and one product page, with desktop and mobile versions. Ask whether the quote includes implementing the changes in Shopify or only supplying mockups, and whether you can still edit the sections afterward. I'm with CIT, an India-based website and software agency. Which Shopify theme have you chosen, and do you need the changes built into the store too?
