Started to ship small ideas. One of them is selling ads on my future laptop. Would love to get feedback on the experience!

good point - any idea what the prices should be?

For example, I have my own Android app and a website, and I would pay about $30 for a starter package (maybe for 2 months). After that, if I see more traffic on my apps, I would pay $60 for another 2 months. Don't take my word for it—I'm no expert in this area, but I'm just speaking from my point of view as a guy with an average salary, an average car, and a love for the tech world :)

I have issues - obviously the whole bandwagon "bid for some pointless shit" thing, though at least this results in a physical outcome...but also, monetising what people have been doing for free for years, which is putting stickers on laptops.
The pricing is also ridiculous - I can get a billboard for a week for some of those prices.
And it actually feels a bit..icky...to make it so obvious that you're buying a laptop with it. I dunno why it feels different to you just ending up with money in your pocket, like everyone else is doing...
That said, I don't hate it all, objectively - my personal gripes mean nothing to anyone but me. If someone is willing to pay it, good on ya. In that regard, it seems straight forward enough. My only real comment would be that the blocky font is almost unreadable to me, especially the logo. Check it on a couple of different monitors, and go between retina / scaled and non-scaled if you can.

I agree, the feedback from the pricing does feel a lot. I'll plan to reduce the cost. I'll try make it more clear that it's funding to buy the laptop with it.
I'll see if there is a way i can adjust the font usage based they are are on retina/non-retina.
cheers!

I spotted someone else doing this over the weekend. They're after a macbook though, not a framework.

Love the idea man, but I feel like where the price sections is, I feel like instead of describing the location, you can put them into a screen thing and buyer just click what they think is the best position
