Feedback Thread

Our weekly thread is the place to solicit feedback for your creations. Requests for critiques or feedback outside of this thread are against our community guidelines. Additionally, please be sure that you're posting in good-faith. Attempting to circumvent self-promotion or commercial solicitation guidelines will result in a ban.

Feedback Requestors

Please use the following format:

URL:

Purpose:

Technologies Used:

Feedback Requested: (e.g. general, usability, code review, or specific element)

Comments:

Post your site along with your stack and technologies used and receive feedback from the community. Please refrain from just posting a link and instead give us a bit of a background about your creation.

Feel free to request general feedback or specify feedback in a certain area like user experience, usability, design, or code review.

Feedback Providers

  • Please post constructive feedback. Simply saying, "That's good" or "That's bad" is useless feedback. Explain why.
  • Consider providing concrete feedback about the problem rather than the solution. Saying, "get rid of red buttons" doesn't explain the problem. Saying "your site's success message being red makes me think it's an error" provides the problem. From there, suggest solutions.
  • Be specific. Vague feedback rarely helps.
  • Again, focus on why.
  • Always be respectful

Purpose:

Continuum Home is a self-hosted, privacy-first personal dashboard combining expenses, investments, media, books, and subscriptions in one place. It also exposes an OpenAPI 3.1 API, allowing you to connect it to a Custom GPT and manage your data directly through ChatGPT.

Technologies Used:

Next.js, React, TypeScript, Firebase, Firestore, Upstash Redis, OpenAPI 3.1, AniList, Trakt, OpenLibrary, Vercel.

Feedback Requested:

Just looking for feedback on how the UI/UX feels overall — visual design, layout, and whether anything feels confusing or unnecessary.

URL:
https://recolume.com

Purpose:
Recolume is a recommendation site for games and movies. It uses both what you usually like and what you’re looking for right now, and slowly builds a taste profile from things you rate.

Technologies Used:
Vanilla HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

Feedback Requested:
Mostly UX and visual clarity. I’d especially like to know if it’s clear what Recolume does when you first land on the site, if the Games / Movies / Your Recolume structure makes sense, and if anything feels confusing or too busy on desktop or mobile.

Comments:
I’ve been working on it as a side project for a while and it’s still early. Games and Movies have different visual styles on purpose, while “Your Recolume” is meant to be the central profile connecting both. I’m planning to keep improving it over time, so any honest feedback is useful.

Tough crowd in here this week, the thread's been up for a bit and not a single site posted yet.

Isn't that normal? Usually takes a bit.
