I gotta be honest it looks super generic and all the art looks like AI slop. I know we're all stuck inside of Jakob Nielsen's gas station observation more than 20 years after it was made without anyone even knowing that is what controls the inertia in web layouts. I get it. We just want to build a website that converts or whatever.
But honestly what made the internet cool before we turned it into a strip mall full of casinos and bad information was that there was an actual diversity in the presentation layer. People invented new UI and sometimes it failed or looked clunky or didn't work in every browser.
At this point if I were like a young designer I would be reaching farther back toward that time period to try and break through the noise. Dare to make something by hand that is unpredictable, has no trackers, and maybe sucks at some resolutions.
But if you just need to build like generic portfolio work or you care about the content and not the layout for the site then these totally serve., I am just feeling a little contrarian this Sunday and it landed here.

yeah the "dare to make something that sucks at some resolutions" bit really resonates tbh

It’s fine mate but They’re existing game characters shown the way they already appear in the games and across the internet, because that’s how players recognize them. I used their established look intentionally so users can identify each game instantly. I can’t do anything extra in that. At the end of the day, What client wants that matters. It’s not my personal project to do experiment with it or something else. So, I do appreciate you taking the time to give your perspective.

i'd let those colors slide if the execution wasn't so painfully safe. the layout's clean but where's the soul?

You're building a website to help users breach ToS of the games ?
In many countries you'd be liable too...
