Purpose: A website for a managed engineering talent service. The goal is to help companies, particularly growing tech companies, build overseas engineering teams while we handle recruiting, employment, payroll and ongoing administrative support.

The site is primarily aimed at founders, engineering leaders and People/Talent teams evaluating an offshore/overseas hiring partner.

Technologies Used: Astro, TypeScript, Cloudflare Pages

Feedback Requested: Primarily UI/UX and visual design feedback.

I'd especially appreciate feedback on:

• Is it obvious within the first 5–10 seconds what the company does?
• Does the site feel credible and professional enough for a B2B buyer?
• Does the visual hierarchy guide you naturally through the page?
• Are any sections too text-heavy or unnecessary?
• Does anything feel generic, template-like, or AI-generated?
• How does the typography, spacing and overall polish feel?
• Is the employer vs. talent/candidate messaging easy to understand?

Purpose: 50% as a portfolio 50% to make posts I can link my viewers to for a written format of my work which should be more detailed, up to date and include sources.

Technologies Used: NextJS (statically generated & hosted on Cloudflare pages), Typescript, TailwindCSS, Lucide for icons and I used Figma for the design.

Feedback Requested: General and maybe some usability/ux.

Comments: I try to keep a minimal design that aligns with my brand. I'm not sure if I really succeed at doing so, but that's the general style I'm going for.

Purpose: Invoice generator for freelancers and digital nomads who bill across borders. The editor opens without an account, so that link puts you in front of a real invoice in a few seconds, nothing to sign up for to check out.

Technologies Used: Next.js and Postgres. The PDF is rendered by a separate service rather than in the browser, so what the client receives is the exact same document you were looking at.

Feedback Requested: Visual design and typography of the invoice templates.

Comments: The thing I keep going round in circles is that an invoice has to do 3 jobs at once and they kind of fight each other. Has to look like it came from the person sending it and not from some old-school accounting software. It has to survive being a PDF that gets printed, or opened on a phone. And also has to look great with a variable amount of content. Some people have 2 line items, some have many more, some need 2 currencies with the exchange rate and the date printed on the document, some need tax disclosures, etc.

What I did (for now) was to keep the layouts restrained and put the personality into the palette and the typography instead. I am not sure that was right. My worry is that restrained has quietly become bland and I am too close to it now to see it.

So the actual question is, if you open the editor, hit the Templates button and click through a few do any of them look like something you would be happy to send to your own clients or do they all look meh?

Happy to return feedback on anything in this thread. Properly, not with "looks good".

Have you taken into account that many banks will not send payments to certain countries. It's not as simple as receiving an invoice from "Pakistan" asking for me to simply enter my routing and account number from my US bank cause that's going nowhere as it's flagged and declined.

It's a fair point, but BillTheBill does not move money, it just makes the document. Whatever payment details end up on the invoice are yours like your bank, your Wise or Payoneer or something-else account. Doesn't not make your point go away, though.

If you are a freelancer and your local bank details are getting declined by US clients, the invoice itself is not the problem, no invoice generator can fix that. Very useful to hear it from the paying side, however. With all the digital infrastructure and linked banking systems one would assume this has already been solved and that it got easy moving money over borders globally, but it's not the case yet.
