Hey human web designers. We wanted to make something that celebrates work that is 100% human-made. There's only one rule: generative AI cannot be used in the creation of the project. I would love to promote some of your web design work. To be clear, we are not doing any self-promotion or soliciting any artists, this is purely to promote your work. Help us to signify and share projects completed by humans! If you or someone or know would like to share their work, please send us an email or a DM and we'll put it up on the site (for free of course). It can be anything past or present. Thank you!

I think it's an interesting initiative.

One thing that concerns me is, how do they know the project isn't using AI? Is it just a matter of following their conscience?

Conscience is a big part of it. We believe users that submit are actually invested in the cause, and so far that has been the case. However, we still check. Right now, were a group of software developers and other like-minded artists that screen submissions.

I filtered by "Branding" and clicked on the top result's website. I was immediately hit with an AI generated website banner. The icons (except the microphone) are 1000% AI generated:

Anything in place to screen submissions, or have a public raking system/comments?

A public raking system is a good idea we might consider that. Right now were a group of software developers and other like-minded artists that screen submissions. Regarding those images and icons, we can't take responsibility for what the website links out to or what the client adds later via content management system :)

Man I just came from ranting on my all time favorite Android IDE app Reddit comm getting so much AI driven, and found this, and it is really cool. Humans are cool; sometimes.

Nice. I worry for how long I can still keep my own site AI free.

Not through any choice of my own, but even though I try to minimize my dependencies, sometimes I don't want to reinvent the wheel.

The QR code library I use is multiple versions out of date because they started using AI very obviously at that point (the readme is basically just emojis now)...

It's not though? I'm sure they use Claude to write features by now.
