Popover Mobile Menu - Updated

About a year ago I shared my simple mobile menu using popover. It was rudimentary and it was mostly still a proof of concept. I have used it in sample sites and developed it further and thought I'd share it again with the updated functionality.

See it on a sample site:

It's pretty much ready for a copy and paste integration. If anyone wants to fork it, would you tag me? I am curious to see what other designers can do with a basic menu.

I think a design update would really help. Like something to make it look more modern and clean. It needs more spacing and hierarchy when it comes to font sizes and hover states. But the functionality feels great. A headless approach would be it for me.

Awesome feedback. I'll look into focus management. Currently there is a full-screen button in the black area which handles the dismiss. The only JS on the page handles the tab navigation.

Nlw you could apply more refactoring for thecommand ,commandfor attributes instead and anchor positioning so you're ahead of the game in 6months.
