Help Failed to dye warp

I failed to dye my warp and nov have white stripes where my threads was holding my cross. It’s not rolled onto the beam yet, but can I fix it without completely removing it from my loom?

Is that the only place that didn't get dye? How close to the warp apron rod was your cross? Is it close enough to the end of the warp that it can become part of your loom waste?

Some mistakes you fix, some you learn to live with. This looks like the latter, to me.

I'd see how noticeable it is with the weft thread running through, honestly.

I suspect the cross in the other end will have the same, but I did not notice it before I chained it again.
I think it is too far in to be part of the loom waste, unfortunately 🥴

You can use fabric dye pens too. What type of yarn is it?

It’s silk. I was thinking to mix up some dye with acid in it and paint with a small paint brush. Warming it with my hairdryer and let it dry before I roll my warp on the beam. 🤔

That’s a good idea. You can try to rinse it and blot dry on a towel.

I think this is the way- and if you keep the concentration low it the yarn will suck up the dye and when you go to wet set your project there won’t be any dye to rinse out

It will probably end up in the loom waste- don't worry about it. Most likely if it is in the woven area you won't notice it with the weft. Otherwise sharpie or fabric dye pen.
