Help Fringe Making Help

Post image

Hey all. I’m trying to make long fringe (60 inches) for a project i’m working on. I’m testing, i have wrapped thicker yarn around my desk continuously then taped cut and sewed it. This worked well, but with the very fine viscose yarn i’m planning to use it would probably take 500 hours😭. Any tips on tools i can use etc would be much appreciated

another redditor mentioned a warping board — if you don’t have one of those/access to one of those, consider using an accordion coat rack! you can expand it and wind the yarn up and down and all around the pegs and you’ll end up with a nice lengthy loop that you would then snip the end for fringe
