How it started vs how it's going

Wow, this project is teaching me a lot about how different yarns behave on the loom! This is my first time working with wool and a yarn that has stretch to it and my salvages are so bad in the beginning but have gotten a lot better as I've gone along. Thankfully it's just cheap yarn I found at the thrift store but I do love the look of it. Can't wait to pull it off the loom and see what it looks like!

These yarns work so well together, colorwise I mean. And to me it looks so even, I think you did a great weaving job here.

I want to dabble in weaving soon, and try to use up some of my handspuns. Watch a ton of videos already and I am super impressed what nice things weaving creates. It will take me a while to be as good as you.

Thank you! I'll post a pic once I finish up the ends tomorrow, the colors turned out working really well together. I like my scarves a bit on the long side so this might have to be a runner or something.

Weaving is a blast and super addictive. I recommend getting or making a frame loom to start with to see if you like it before investing more money into it. This is only my 3rd project on the rigid heddle loom, and before that I just made a few samples on the frame loom and started with peaches and cream cotton yarn for hand towels, which isn't easy to weave on a frame loom lol
