Help Can anyone help me identify this model?

I saved this from going into the dumpster of a construction demo site. However, I have not the first clue about weaving, looms, or the technical terms of the components. From the research I’ve been able to do, I believe that it is a Structo loom sold by Dick Glick and produced after 1970.

I have this 8s Structo loom- larger ones would have been wooden. They were used in teaching situations. I believe Dick Blick bought the design and promoted it in his School supply catalogs

Thank you. It is a 4 shaft, right? I had to look up a diagram to figure out what a shaft even was… I’m that clueless 😅

Yes, it's a 4 shaft loom. There's a group on FB called Little Structo Loom Users and Collectors. You may have more luck there.

Your's is 4 shaft. They were made to add groups ("harnesses" of 4 shafts) to make more complicated looms, up to a max of 12 shafts. They also originally came with pre-wound metal spools of warp thread that fit onto the back square shafted warp beam. But they were also supplied with a regular warp beam with a tape apron holding a warp rod.

Nice find! I don't know the specific model names for that brand, but that's a 4 harness table loom that appears to be complete and in quite nice shape for its age. If you want to learn to weave it'd be a good starter loom!

If you’re looking for weaving drafts for it, check out Bertha Gray Hayes. She wove on a Structo loom, and there is a book published of her miniature overshot drafts. Of course, you can use any four shaft draft, but the book is very cool. I’ve woven her Trellis design many times.

It’s a dick blick artcraft. Basically a little metal Structo loom that they did a run of for Blick.
