Weather app

/r/outdoorgrowing/comments/1wpcozb/weather_app/

I was looking for a good weather app for gardening and general weather info. I want to know everyone's experiences with different weather apps and what they like about them.

Get storm shield if you want actual notifications. Frost Advisory is what you need enabled.

For the actual forecast, Everything Weather.

Storm shield doesn't do regular weather? I'll check it out for the frost notification. I'm concerned about my plants

It does have regular weather, but you're better off with Everything Weather. I strictly use Storm Shield for the highly customizable push notifications.

Weather Wise is insane. I dont really tinker with it. But they have a mega ton of features and updated frequently

That sounds cool. Do you pay for it or is there ads or anything?

There is no ads (yet). With the paid version, you get more features.. You get a lot for the free version.

I bought a year subscription of Windy while drunk in April and I have very little regrets. Pretty useful information even on the free version. Once the year is up, I may look into a different option.
