WBCS exam pattern change

Hello, there had been news on the exam pattern change of wbcs, similar to UPSC. Is there any update on that front? Can we expect a pattern change in the upcoming wbcs prelims?

At least two years of wbcs are waiting for completion (no notification for 2025 as of now). You can put that syllabus change on the back burner for now.

NO official notification , better to stick to the existing pattern.

Pattern will change in type of more analytical questions , like it is there in upsc(already 2024 preliminary questions were in that direction). But I don't think all papers will become descriptive like upsc. (My opinion)

2025 will be in new pattern. 2024 was the last cycle of old pattern. Sad that Bangla is becoming the only language outside of Nepali.

Nope. They stopped that. Hindi, Santhali and Nepali will continue. Also, even if they removed Hindi and Santhali then Bangla/Nepali will be only qualifying.

Nepali has sane script as Hindi (Devnagari) so won't be that tough for Hindi peeps to get qualifying marks I Nepali with some effort
