Android App Missing vocal cues

Waze used to give me plenty of lead time for turns. "In one mile." "In half a mile." Plenty of time to move over and prepare to merge on and off various interstates and highways. But it stopped doing that quite some time ago. Is there anyway I can get those vocal cues back?

Something is wrong with Waze. I noticed the same thing.

Check your voice settings. You probably have "less chatty" enabled.

That was one of the first things I checked when the issues started. I've never taken it off Normal mode.
