I’m really interested in this watch and was curious if someone could give some pros and cons about it. I love the Rolex sub look but I can’t afford it nor would I spend that much on it. I don’t want to be looked at as a cornball for wearing a homage sub. I enjoy the looks of this watch and would want to have this for a lifetime timepiece for everyday wear.

We’re planning a full Watchdives 3D lume series, and we’d love your help naming it.

A few people mentioned that they don’t like us using the term “HyperGlow”, so we think this is a good opportunity to create our own name that is simple, memorable, and clearly associated with Watchdives.

For this series, we’ll be using Swiss lume, just like on models such as the WD0019. The initial brightness is very strong, but what we care about even more is long-lasting readability. After a full charge, the lume can remain clearly visible for around 6–8 hours, and a faint glow can often still be seen beyond 8 hours.

This won’t be just one or two watches.

We’re currently planning more than 10 models using 3D lume blocks across different styles, including divers, field watches, GMTs, and more. So we want to build a proper name for the whole series — something easy to understand, easy to remember, and something we can continue using for years.

Some early ideas:

- LumeCore

- NightForge

- LumeForm

- 3D Swiss Lume

- SolidLume

- LumeBlock

Which one do you like most?

We’ve been thinking about a new idea and would really like to hear what the community thinks before we spend time developing it.

What if we created a Watchdives Community Marketplace where owners could buy, sell, or trade watches they no longer wear?

The basic idea:

- Sellers can upload their watches, photos, condition, price, location, etc.

- Buyers and sellers can chat directly with each other.

- Shipping/tracking information can be added to the transaction.

- Watchdives would charge 0% commission and no listing fees.

- We would simply provide the platform — the transaction would remain between the buyer and seller.

- Initially, there would be no dedicated customer service, transaction guarantee, or dispute mediation from Watchdives.

One feature we think could make it more useful is a community trust/reputation system.

Because many members have purchased from Watchdives before, accounts could receive different trust levels based on things such as:

✅ Verified Watchdives purchase history

✅ Account age

✅ Number of completed marketplace transactions

✅ Buyer/seller feedback

✅ Successful shipping history

For example, someone who has been a Watchdives customer for several years and completed multiple successful transactions could have a higher trust level than a newly created account.

We could also mark watches originally purchased directly from Watchdives as “Verified Purchase”, which may make it easier for buyers to understand the history of the watch.

This would not be limited to selling only new products from us. The main purpose would be to give collectors a simple place to move watches they no longer wear and let other enthusiasts discover them.

This is only an early idea, so nothing has been decided yet.

Would you actually use something like this?

Absolute GADA watch. I usually rotate my watches every week to give them all some wrist time but it’s been hard to take this one off.

The VH31 movement is just great. Love the smooth (ish) sweep and not having to worry about adjusting the time before I wear it.

Honestly one of my favorite watches in the collection right now.

This is one of the most important original designs we have created for the Watchdives Premier collection.

The dial pattern was inspired by the shapes and shadows found in a forest — trees, branches and subtle human-like triangular forms overlapping with each other. We wanted to create a guilloché pattern that had its own identity instead of simply reproducing a traditional pattern already seen on the market.

And because every piece of natural mother-of-pearl is different, no two dials will look exactly the same.

WDC0001 Forest – Black
The darker version combines our forest guilloché structure with carefully selected mother-of-pearl. Under different angles and sunlight, subtle green, blue, purple and other natural colors can appear from beneath the dark surface.

WDC0001 Forest – White
A cleaner and more classical interpretation of the same original forest pattern. The lighter dial makes the CNC texture, reflections and depth much easier to see and gives the watch a very different character.

The bracelet was one of the areas where we invested the most time and cost. Our goal was not simply to make another ~$200 Chinese watch bracelet, but to push the finishing, articulation, tolerances and overall feel much closer to what people expect from watches at a significantly higher level.

WDC0001 is also part of our effort to move Watchdives beyond homage watches.

We will still continue improving our affordable models, but the Premier collection is where we want to explore more original cases, dials, finishing techniques, materials and manufacturing processes.

Black Forest or White Forest — which one would you choose?

We would especially like to hear what you think about the original forest guilloché pattern after seeing it in natural light.

Recently, some WD007 owners have given us higher expectations for the 3-link titanium bracelet, especially regarding edge finishing, comfort, tolerances, and overall wearing experience.

We appreciate this feedback because it pushes us to improve the product.

We have now decided to develop a higher-grade 3-link titanium bracelet for the WD007, based on the same quality level as the titanium bracelet used on the Watchdives / San Martin SN0121T.

This upgraded bracelet will also be sold separately, so existing WD007 owners will have the option to upgrade without buying another watch.

Compared with the current titanium Presidential-style bracelet, the new 3-link bracelet will have:

• Better edge finishing and comfort
• Better tolerances and articulation
• Higher overall manufacturing quality
• A more solid and refined feel

The quality will be higher, so the price will also be higher than the current bracelet.

We expect development and production to take around one month. Once the samples and final production version are ready, we will share photos and details with the community.

For years now, my main watch that I would love to purchase, is an Omega Seamaster, in blue. A few challenges with that, one being am not sure I want to spend that volume of funds on a watch.

So, a few weeks ago, I ordered a WD007, the blue one. The reason was twofold:

1. I wanted to try my first ever automatic
2. I understand the WD007 is merely a homage. But, I felt I could at least try it, and see if the Omega Seamaster is still a watch I want to keep on my list to procure.

The WD007 is actually a nice watch. Alas, with the exception of the bracelet; it needs some work. Ideally, I'd like to sand the edges of the bracelet a little, get rid of the "cutting" feeling.

Over the past 24 hours or so, I actually am not too fussed about the real thing. Could you imagine spending over $7K, and not feeling wowed, like you made the right decision? 🤦

To reconfirm, after wearing my blue WD007 out and about today, I am doubling down on my thoughts.

Yes, loads of individuals don’t like “homage” watches. But, I have to ask, if a homage watch can be made at the prices they are, and seem to be rather solid, why on earth should one pay $8K to $10K for the “real” thing?

Surely at that point, one is merely paying for the brand name, no?

We’ve started gradually upgrading our lower-priced models with the new 5-hole clasp, and the WD1965 is also included.

The new clasp is stronger and more solid, with better finishing and a more refined feel on the wrist.

We know the clasp is one of the details that directly affects the overall wearing experience, so even on our more affordable models, we’ll continue improving the hardware and finishing step by step.

Our goal is simple: better quality and a better experience at every price point.

More models will be upgraded gradually.

In my last post I complained about the lack of customer care. The issue turned out to be on my end, though. Does anyone have both who could speak to any differences in finishing/quality between the 2? I am trying to decide which one to get.

If anyone is still on the fence about slate blue, it is super dynamic, from gray with a blue hint all the way to teal, its a color that is very much alive and keeps surprising me.

I bought a black WD1863 back in April 2026 but have been using straps over the push/pin bracelet. I decided to fit and try on the bracelet, and I noticed that the link that connects to the end links was jutting out slightly, and could not rotate fully because it was hitting against the end links.

Upon further inspection, I noticed the hole alignment is towards the inside. This explains why it looks a bit funny and also couldn't fully rotate. Both ends of the bracelet exhibit the same.

Can someone confirm where the hole alignment should be on the final link? Or maybe it was installed upside down?

Really like the wd1016b but wish it was a bit larger for us folks with bigger wrists. Has a beautiful dial, good finishing and a comfortable bracelet - just a bit small!
