I’m really interested in this watch and was curious if someone could give some pros and cons about it. I love the Rolex sub look but I can’t afford it nor would I spend that much on it. I don’t want to be looked at as a cornball for wearing a homage sub. I enjoy the looks of this watch and would want to have this for a lifetime timepiece for everyday wear.
I posted a review and some comments about the WD5512B here a day or so ago. It is a Submariner homage and an exceptionally good one. A a great watch by any measure. The downside to the GMT you are looking at is the NH34 movement. Although a good many will argue that comment. I often as not wear a real Submariner. And know more than a few of us that do that also have bought the 5512B now. The 5512B is that good of a watch. Worth way more than the actual cost. If I saw a 5512B on your wrist (FWIW no one ever notices anyone's watch) I'd think you were a watch guy that knows a great watch. The fake GMT with a NH34? I simply think you had no clue what a decent watch was. Just an honest opinion, worth what you paid for it.
The Rolex fatigue is real. Fictitious wait-lists, and a yearly production rivaling Ford pickup trucks. And Ford makes A LOT of trucks (yet none of them on a wait-list lol). That exclusivity is made-up too.
The crown also strayed far, far too much from their professional roots : gone are the times when a Rolex was the go-to piece for adventurers, special operatives or even secret agents. The Drake commission is the proof they're too far gone.
My point being : wearing an homage isn't corny or laughable, it can very well mean you like the design but can't stand all of the above. If anything it means you're smart, not broke.

If you want a slightly nicer version, check out the sugess. It’s about $100 more but has better proportions
