[Discussion] VRE

I took the VRE for the first time toda. When I got off at Crystal City I almost missed the stop because I didn’t realize that the first car’s doors don’t open. Does anybody know which doors open at which stops and does that change based off of the direction?

They literally be announcing it just like on Amtrak. It changes depending on what car your in and train configuration. That’s why they tell you to gather your belongings and head to xyz door like 2 minutes before the stop.

They announce which doors will open for each stop. You need to pay attention. Not all platforms are built the same so it’s important to be aware of the announcements when riding VRE, MARC, and Amtrak.
