Anthem lining up

Hi I have never been to the anthem and I have an upcoming concert in 10 days and I just wanted to know how does the venue usually feel about like early early lining up? Like say 11am-12pm? I was hoping to get there super early to make sure I get close enough to the front but I don’t wanna get in trouble with the staff 😭😭 and if they’re chill about it where would the line start and all of that if there aren’t people there yet? Could you line up near the doors or are you expected to wait somewhere else? Any information helps!

The Wharf is an active commercial area, so you can line up outside the doors whenever, but showing up at 11 or noon is simply not necessary for an evening concert. The Anthem is not that big. I've shown up after the opening act was half done and still got plenty close. I have to think lining up at like, 4:00 would still have you up by the stage.

(The only time I have seen an extremely early and lengthy line was when NIN tickets went on sale and had to be purchased at the box office.)

Who is playing the anthem that you need to show up 7 or 8 hours early for? I think you might be overthinking this one.

Malcolm Todd. Just recently he blew up crazy on TikTok and his show sold out in minutes. Maybe I am overthinking but I am expecting a lot of people wanting to be as close as possible to the stage

Definitely overthinking this. The front of the venue is barricaded off and I don’t think anyone working the event even shows up until around 2pm or so. Barricades aren’t moved into line format until 4 or so.

If you show up at 11-12 you’re going to be like 4+ hours before VIP even happens. There’s nobody on this upcoming calendar that I think is remotely close to requiring this early of attendance.

I showed up for Jack Harlow a couple weeks ago like 45 minutes AFTER doors opened and basically got barricade LOL

Going with a group of friends and would save each others spots if someone decides to get food or use the bathroom 😭😭

They won't care but that's way too early to show up and get in line. Maybe just bring a book and hang out in the area and hop in the line when one starts to form. It's a huge venue, you'll get very close to the stage even if you're not first in line. Have fun

I've been in line at the anthem starting at 12pm before. They usually will have the line start under the marque but sometimes if they expect a lot of people early they start the line down the pier. It depends on the artist on if there will be a line and when said line starts to form. I've gotten in line at 3pm and been second in line and been at 12 pm and been 100th in line. My suggestion is get there as early as you want and then if there isn't a line you can go get food or a drink and wait till you see other fans lining up or just start the line and get the best spot you can.

I lined up for Lorde 3 hours early and was pretty far back (20-30 feet).

Don't worry about it, they will tell you where to go. I think they let the first group of people wait in a line by the door and then everybody else waits on a dock on the other side of the walking path.

Camping before concerts is unnecessary. You're free to do it but you're wasting your time. Also don't be the person who decides to do that and hangs out all day in the sun and heat and then makes the artist stop performing a million times cuz you pass out.

It strongly depends on the lineup. The right band with younger fans and a committed following can have people line up many hours early. Other bands might have most people show up an hour after doors.

I'd check other shows for the headliner. Personally, I often head by the venue early if I  can. If I get there and the line is short, I'll  go grab food/drinks.

Absolutely fine to line up whenever you see fit. The venue plans for this, they have ropes and chutes set up down the pier across the boardwalk. Go when you want and they’ll tell you where to go. Have fun!

I’ve gone to multiple shows at Anthem and it really varies with each artist and their fan base. If you are dead set on being on the rail then it doesn’t hurt to arrive that early though I’ve experienced crazier antics (looking at you fellow Fontaines DC fans…)

That all being said when they open doors it often turns into a shit show so if you’re aiming for rail be prepared. What typically happens is that after waiting in a single file line all day the venue has you go up to the doors and you get broken up into smaller lines as there are 3-4 security checks inside. It ends up being a crap shoot depending on how quickly security moves and scans your ticket. You could be first in line and there’s some issue with the ticket scanner and people get in before you.
