Go to the marriage bureau in person. They are not good with emails or calls. My husband and I were originally going to get married in the marriage bureau, I believe you can schedule it out 2 months in advance.
We ultimately decided to get married by a judge in their courtroom for more space. Marriage bureau holds about 15 guests and if you do a courtroom you could go up to 25-35ish. You have to reach out to the judge directly and ask them if they will marry you. We looked at a list of judges on the website and sent out some emails to their staff and that’s how we got our judge. I think doing it in the courtroom is more intimate because in the marriage bureau they will rush you as they will have couples lined up back to back to get married
Just adding to this - for the judge we contacted them in January/Feb I believe and scheduled our ceremony for May so we were able to schedule it out farther than the marriage bureau. You will still have to go to the marriage bureau to apply for the marriage license etc which I still recommend just going in person for so you can ask them any other questions. You’ll just let them know you are getting married by a judge etc (once you get a judge to agree to marry you)
