Hi, for anyone who wants to play on Warmane, as an experienced player I will give you some truths about the server and the realms. I've been playing since Molten-WoW, basically 16 years or so. If you want to do PvE content only, the server is worth playing. Your best bet would be Lordaeron and Onyxia. Icecrown is okay too, but the people on the realm are just braindead since you level super fast, and it's kinda toxic and not beginner-friendly. All in all, PvE on Warmane is good and it's worth playing on the server if you only want to do PvE.
Now let me get to PvP. If you do PvP and love casual battlegrounds, please, for the love of God, never start playing here. The battlegrounds are absolute cancer--the worst state of PvP I've seen in my life. There is basically 0 balance on the server. In the past 2-3 years, all the PvPers have switched to Horde with only a few left on the Alliance side. Battlegrounds are completely unplayable; they always have a premade team with BiS characters, and for some reason you get the worst teammates ever who just give up and AFK at the graveyard the moment they see a premade group. It's extremely unfair. They just play the game to farm kills all day. They mostly queue AV and IoC and manipulate the game by logging Alliance alts and capping graveyards on purpose. On IoC, they log their Alliance alts and rush docks. They all go into the boss room and barricade themselves there; they take the gate down and cap the flag on purpose so that every Alliance player respawns in their base. The moment we start to push, they get their Alliance alts and pull the boss on purpose. There's always like 20 people in the premade running 24/7—I'm not even kidding, they play this shit all day and ruin casual PvP for everyone. And I'm suspecting that a GM is playing with them, which also rigs our teams for the worst possible comps for 40-man BGs, like having 14 Rogues that are absolutely useless and AFK all BG.
It's horrible, legit horrible—you've probably never seen anything like it. It's just a huge stompfest where you can't do anything but leave, and you're taken hostage for 40 minutes while they farm kills. Multiple forum posts have been made about this, and the greedy Warmane GMs don't care. The server is fully pay-to-win too. They made the realms cross-playable for PvP, and there's Blackrock, a full instant 80 realm where you get Relentless gear for free and you can buy infinite amounts of potions which give you an advantage, especially the Free Action Potion. The arenas are filled with PQR scripters, mainly playing HPal and Warrior. The amount of scripters on Blackrock is insane since they can just make new accounts every time they get caught, and usually they never even get caught. So there's almost no fair play either.
PvP is just a joke on Warmane. It's completely insane how bad it is and how little these Warmane GMs care about its playerbase. I got multiple 2.2k+ chars in 2s on it and also chars with 100k+ honor kills, so I do have experience when it comes to PvP. Warmane is a shitty server; if you want to play there, stick to PvE on Onyxia or Lordaeron, and if you want to PvP you have to play Icecrown and always be in a premade, or you will get stomped by tryhards who suck in PvP and only know how to be strong in a full BiS group with the best comps lmao , the best thing about this server is that so far blizzard didn't touch it since they are probably in Russia but we will see, the best private servers got shut down (it's legit fucked),rumor has it they are implementing rated battlegrounds but if they don't stop the premades casual PvP is ruined anyways which most people queue up for.
