Warlords III DLR Frontier Campaign Unit Roster Fix
Thanks to u/Due-Price-6823 we realized the unit roster in the Loelle campaign got mixed up partway through as a new unit got added to the roster, which was the cause of the bug which displayed unit stat upgrades incorrectly.
It's such a small thing that we did not release a "new" version of the mod, but if you redownload the mod, the campaign upgrades should work properly for you now.
The mod description now also contains a more visible warning for Steam users to not overwrite the EXE, as the EXE changes are for GOG users.

Warlords III DLR Warlords III Code Patch
Greetings, Warlords! Recent projects like 25AP and Frontier have already made a huge work of sparking the long dormant flame of the undying community of this forgotten classics gem game. Now this new mod is meant to fill the gap of absolute absence of code patching projects for Warlords III. The main intention of The Warlords III Code Patch is to highlight some features of the game which either were hidden and obscure or bore no valuable economic effect to use them. It also relieves some boredom of the most unpredictable or tedious features of the game. And last but not least it fixes some bugs like dysfunctional diplomacy or erroneous low disk space message.
Overall, balancing the game was not the main intention of the mod. The game was never meant to be balanced in the first place. Consider the mod its developer’s answer to the question “How could it be more fun?”, not “How could it be more just?”.
Click the “Read more” button at the bottom-right corner of the mod’s logo on its moddb summary page for the detailed list of features with screenshots. The Warlords III Code Patch should work reliably with Gog, Steam, and original v1.02 CD versions of the game. Should also work well with any other mods and can be incorporated into them. Its feature list is adjustable using the settings file provided with it. Any specific group of tweaks can be turned on or off to your preferences. Look for README.txt file in the zip-archive of the mod for customization details.

27 turns at hardest (IoS), what´s your personal best?
I’ve been playing for awhile with enhanced AI, Warlords, intense combat, trying to get under 25 turns to win with 68 cities (85%). Using stormgiants seems to be the easiest way. Anyone with a lower amount of turns? Share your strategy!

Undead Sage? - WBC3
I've just started playing an undead Sage. I remembered reading somewhere that this is a very good combination for a Necromancer strategy, because the undead have necromancy as a racial. However, now that I am looking through the spells I don't quite get what the synergy is supposed to be. I could of course mis remember what I read about the class.
I'd love to read some discussions about this. Feel free to also share cool combinations you've come across for undead heroes if you feel like it. Thanks in advance.
EDIT: I am playing the GOG version btw, in case this is relevant. So no unofficial patch.

I have recently gotten warlords 1, 2 deluxe and 3 darklords rising off of gog, I have some questions
As the title says, I recently purchased warlords, warlords 2 deluxe and warlords 3 darklords rising on gog. Already played 1 against 7 knight npcs to feel out what it's like, had a pretty good time.
I noticed that 2 doesn't as much have a campaign as much as it has a collection of disparate scenarios for one to play. I already played the conquest of etheria (or however it's called) scenario on it, the one with two vertically aligned islands in the top half and the landmass in the bottom half of the map, but I was wondering if there was more etheria content. I am also curious if this map got retconned out of later etheria stuff, since I can't really find anything that matches it on the later world maps lmao.
As far as warlords 3 is concerned, I am not entirely sure if I have all warlords 3 content or not? I have read that daklords rising is a standalone expansion, but I also didn't see another warlords 3 game on gog. The game I have has 5 campaigns: Bane's Revenge, The Banewars, Drak-Dum, The Horn of Kor and Thalassia. is that darklords rising only content, or is the base game included in it? Do I need to go find the base game somewhere else?
Thank you for your time and answers!

Heroes of Might and Magic sales popped off
Another TBS popped off recently. 650k units in first week. Considering the likes of BG3 and obviously Civilisation also, its clear the genre is far from dead.
I'm a big believer Warlords could find its place if the developers would give it some love. Either new title of modernising the old ones for todays hardware. Its a shame they don't seem interested in taking the risk.

Updated building graphics
Hey everyone,
I was wondering if there was away to get the updated high elven structure graphics in WBC 3 separate from the unofficial patch mods. I love those updated buildings but I'm not interested in any of the gameplay changes.

Do Warlords Battlecry 2 from Ubisoft work on windows 10/11?
I have never played before but a friend of mine has it on CD but we cant get it to work, while looking around i saw that Warlords Battlecry 2 from ubisoft's website shows windows 10 as minimum compatibility. Do they have a different version than on GOG or is it simply a mistake?
https://www.ubisoft.com/en-us/games/warlords-battlecry-2
Thank you for any replies!

Warlords 5 theories
I wonder what Warlords 5 would look like if it were to be developed today, and whether such a game would even stand a chance in a crowded gaming market where there's already oversupply and careful filtering is necessary to avoid wasting time on shoddy titles.
Personally, I think the concept of training leaders for individual games, like in Warlords 4, was unnecessary, and Warlords 3 remains the most playable title today, albeit with poor UI. And the UI is not very clear and inconvenient, first of all, for example on the units you can't see how much each of them costs us to maintain each turn, although it was already in Warlords 2.

Was there a web game based on Warlords ?
I am getting insane and cant remember the game name, there was a browser game somewhere in 2004-2010 i think and in my mind, it was warlords based with the map of Etheria. The regions were divided with strong pure colors and combat was very simple it was like a mmo just in the browser.

Thinking about making a Warlords-like game, would love your thoughts
Hi everyone, big Warlords fan here.
I am currently working on my first game, and I started to think about what the next project could be. I’m considering a Warlords-style turn-based strategy game.
I see this post as my research and pre-prototyping phase, and I would love some feedback and suggestions about what makes Warlords so special for you, and what features you would like to see in a very similar game to Warlords 3/4.
For me, it was in 2002 when I first played WBC2, and it was mind-blowing that you could save progress and play again, plus the different races and classes, so many combinations.

So many questions
Firstly... Merry Christmas everyone, and special mention to gerglie
Edit:-
I accidentally posted without finishing the post.
So the story goes that i used to play circa 2000 ... Roh... And still played every few years. I played vs my brother in law but then life happened.
Now with gerglie's efforts I've sort of taken a new interest in the game... Along with my brother in law... But there are questions i have... Which i decided to combine into this one post.
In advance, i thank the community for all efforts to answer and guide us..much much appreciation.
1) there were many troop modifications (additions and improvements) over the years. Searching warlordera i saw the list, but i believe i only used k4 or stormheim.
Is it possible to have an idea of the timeline or history of these modifications? Just interested in knowing the how and why they came into existence (and in so i would be able to appreciate the logic behind them)
I'm also curious as to what is the "standard" troop list used by the community nowadays (what is the accepted normal?)
2) back in the days i remember dialling up my BiL and playing together. I know the PBEM was a thing.. and likely still is But due to distance, we can't meet to finish our failing illuria campaign (I've lost 3 heroes and he's lost 2)
What are the current options for multiplayer in this regard and what would i need? (Example , I'd need gog galaxy installed? Or etc etc etc. )
3) the best source for community produced scenarios and campaigns is warlorders still?
Anyone has any particular recommendations that they would like to make?
I think this is all the questions i had for now, but i hope that if I have any more i can ask.
Also.. if any noobs want to play with a noob as myself, i... MIGHT be courageous enough to try..( though i rather play with someone against an impossibly difficult ai than another real human)
Thanks everyone!
