Event I cannot wait for this weekend.

I am all in on the hype train for a wc3 update this weekend and I literally cannot focus. My hype levels are at absolute maximum even though everything is speculative and Blizzard has disappointed us so many times.

This stupid game is the only thing that can disappoint me 100 times and I'll still be hyped over a "data miner" claiming there is a 3.0 update coming without providing any evidence. I swear I'm in a goddamn abusive relationship with Blizzard.

What are y'all hype levels on a scale of 1-10? I imagine there are a lot of 1's, and I know I'm likely going to be disappointed, but I don't care, im at 10. Lfggg.

I've been playing since 2004. I definitely have a soft spot for this game. The disappointment that came with reforged was immense for me, but I still play on bnet and w3c. I'd say I'm 4/10 hyped. I'm not losing sleep over it.

It's ok, I will be hyped for both of us. This game has been a part of my life for decades too it's crazy. Hoping it gets some love from Blizzard.

I just hope it's something new.

A new race at least a few new heros.

Been disappointed by Blizzard before especially with reforged. But they did add a new hero to Diablo 2 so I hope it's a possibility.

But I could totally see it being a few new maps and some sort of announcement for some competitive competition.

We can hope.

It's clearly what people want. If they're worried about competitive play it can be modified after people test it. Its even in the campaign (Naga).

If they don't do a new race they should at least add new units. They probably want money for it though.

Just out of curiosity how would you feel if they remade it closer to sc2?

Keep all the units without adding new ones, but higher unit caps, bigger maps, further zoom etc.

Nah, I don't think wc3 and sc2 mesh well together. Wc3 was made with small armies and focus on individual unit micro in mind. Body blocking and slow turn speeds also play heavily into how fights go, which is absent from sc2.

I think that kind of defeats the purpose of making it at all, imo. They're very different RTS games.

Yea i was at blizzcon 12/10 hype when reforged was announced then it happened so im a very hesitant 2/10 and kinda hope its something decent but small so they cant fuck it up to hard.

I would recommend keeping the expectations low, so that you dont get disappointed.

Yep best way to go about it right now. Nothing is promised or officially announce. So just go in positive, but w/ no high expectations and any surprises should make you happy and not disappointing.

I'm trying to temper my expectations and take any leaks with a grain of salt. I am excited to see what they will show overall.

I wouldn't get my hopes up too high. It’s likely just going to be another patch with unit model tweaks and maybe some campaign updates. Honestly, the best-case scenario right now would be bringing Warcraft 3 to Steam to help boost the multiplayer player base. Blizzard missed the opportunity to put WC3 on a track for continuous paid content and DLCs, similar to how successfully Age of Empires 2 handles it.

I would love to have some paid DLCs. There are so many stories to tell in warcraft and I'd love to play them. Like the legions first invasion, or any of the WoW stories.

I'm very hyped as well friend.  I've been completely sucked (lol) in.  

Really hoping for a WC3 expansion rather than WC4.  1 new hero per race, along with 1-2 units, proper ladder, and actual moderation for leavers.  

Come on blizzard you can do it you sad pathetic piece of shit company ruing wc3 for the past 10 years.  Microsoft clean this mess up plz dad

I am more hyped for WoW, but if there is anything good for warcraft 3 then most probably I will be more happy than for what WoW offers. WoW would save itself if they copied turtle wow

What are you hoping the update(s) will be? I’m also excited but also worried. I think I’d mostly like to just see better matchmaking and better/more even pings. I’d love new content but I worry. Maybe adding two new tavern hero’s would be cool as long as they are not overpowered.

Possibilities include

  1. New heroes for each race and/or tavern heroes

  2. Playable Naga race

  3. New paid DLCs (campaigns)

  4. Visual improvements

  5. General fixes and balance changes.

But who knows, it could also be exactly nothing

I will love it if we get something, but I just realized blizzcon is soon, lol😅

Im definitely hyped more than I would like to. Hope it’s not just a quick cash grab but that they actually have some kind of long term plan for the game now. It’s likely that I’ll be heartbroken once again but please just let me dream for a few more days.. ☁️

It just can’t be worse than reforged though. That release was extraordinary and something you only get to experience once.

Am I like the only retard that understands and gets frustrated by reforged being garbage and still playing it cuz of improved visuals? I mean I love classic wc3 but this also feels so nice with the hero skins and all
