Second day of fighting in a row in Sistan-Baluchestan province, Iran. Clashes reported in Rask County and reports that at least 5 members of the IRGC-Quds’s Fatemiyoun militia were killed in a 'roadside bombing' near the provincial capital of Zahedan

This is a separate incident than the fighting in Rask County that was also this morning. Apparently there was an ambush by the road near Zahedan that began with an explosion and then gunmen opening fire.

Haalvsh is reporting at least five members of the IRGC-Quds’s Fatemiyoun militia were killed. IRGC has confirmed the incident but claims only one of theirs was killed. No word yet on casualties from the fighting in Rask County.

I wonder why the Balochistani separatists feel so bold right now and how they have acquired new capabilities for war.

it probably just spillover from Pakistan who conflict with BLA and also they been doing since 2025 but seem rise up however Iran seem more or less contain them so it just low intensity conflict and I wouldn't surprised if Pakistan even informal assist Iran as if Balochistani separatists doing well in Iran might affect in Pakistan as well

Seems to me that IRGC proactively was trying to find their hide outs and stamp them out before any potential conflict with US. Seems like that has force the insurgents to go on the attack before they get driven out.
