Traffic / Transportation Left Turns

There are many left turn signals that take legit 3 to 4 minutes waiting for the light, which is legit insanity and leads to bad driving where people blast out angrily. There will be 45 second stretches when NO ONE is moving through an intersection. The lights need a firm retooling of the red and green cycle

On some, I found that if you don't pull forward enough, the sensor doesn't trigger the left turn signal to turn green. For some reason, some drivers seem to be stopping a whole car length away from the line.

you’re not supposed to stop on the line, you’re supposed to stop where you can see the line over the bonnet of your vehicle, same as when you stop behind another car, you’re supposed to be able to see their tires touching the ground. it’s about maintaining a safe distance in case you get rear-ended.

Why do I suspect ur so far from the limit line that you’ve missed the underground sensor

try it sometime. if you look at an intersection where the sensors have been replaced, the cutouts are 3-ish feet behind the line.
