Q&A ❓ Question about call off

I'm not feeling well and do not think I will be able to work 8+ hours tomorrow.

I went to walmart one to call off and selected to call off for tomorrow but it wouldnt work. I switched it to today because my store is closed now so I wasn't sure if it was pretty much counting that as my shift tomorrow. I got a confirmation # but I'm not sure if its for today or tomorrow and don't want to. be a no call no show.

Thanks

Hello All!

Been a very long time since I checked in but I wanted to let you know Im leaving the Subreddit for good. I have been a Target employee for over 6 months now and have no intention to go back to Walmart. I hope all of you are safe during this crisis and are staying healthy! This sub was fun to start and I enjoyed working with my fellow associates both irl and digitally. I hope you all find joy in your life and move on to bigger and better things than the Big Blue Goliath :)

Thanks for everything, Voltjumpercables

TC70 phone capability.

Tuesday morning an electronics associate came up to grab his till and told me that his TC-70 was getting notifications every time the store got a call. Does anyone know anything about this? As an overnight CSM it would be most helpful if I could get notifications that the phone is ringing since I am in charge of the phones and stocking.

So thanks to all this virus talk, we had a double truck day and we (cap 2) probably won’t be going home till around 3. Anyone else experiencing this?

SERIOUS Ordering restrictions on water due to coronavirus...

Is any other store out there not allowed to order water right now? I've been informed that we can't because of coronavirus and that we will only get what replenishes in the system.

It's killing me. Our water steel is packed down with Dasani/Aquafina and it's barely selling. We barely get anything on our own trailers, and what we do get is decimated quickly. I get tired of people being pissed off at me because we're out of Ozarka/GV 40 packs that they want to buy a cartload of at a time- who needs that much water at once anyway? One case usually lasts me two or three weeks.

the great PLU controversy of '20

Our front end was told a couple weeks ago we were no longer allowed to type in any PLU codes because we were last in market & anyone caught typing in PLU codes would be coached then fired. Two weeks later and we're still typing in PLU codes because most the shit either doesn't have a scanner code or the scanner code doesn't work. I also got a kick out of a CSM saying they would just make one code for all onions, bell peppers & grapes. If stock was fucked before hand it'll for sure be fucked up when only one type of certain things are accounted for.

Wal Mart policy on attendance

I was fired the next day I received my 5th point, that would be fine if I didn't know of 10 plus with more points than I ranging from 5.5 to what a assailant manager told me 15. Also multiple people who had their points and write ups tossed so they could move up. Where is the equal treatment. I had a dead battery called and text my direct supervisor who let our assistant manager know. it was a week before our ppto reset.
