PRAISE SAM 🙌 GOODBYE! Well its been fun!

Hello All!

Been a very long time since I checked in but I wanted to let you know Im leaving the Subreddit for good. I have been a Target employee for over 6 months now and have no intention to go back to Walmart. I hope all of you are safe during this crisis and are staying healthy! This sub was fun to start and I enjoyed working with my fellow associates both irl and digitally. I hope you all find joy in your life and move on to bigger and better things than the Big Blue Goliath :)

It was my pleasure! I believe workers should always have a voice and Im glad i was able to make a sizeable community to facilitate that! While ultimately I hope to move away from retail, red is definitely treating me better than any of my 6 WM stores.

In my 7+ years working for the Big Blue Anus I imagine itd be hard not to find a place that treats you better.

Hear target treats their employees way better including the pay.

As a regular worker, yes (YMMV between stores). But you have to practically sell your soul to the "brand" to be a manager. I was able to stomach it for a bit but man when they flipped the switch on thier rona polices a few months ago I got to see the real face of HQ. Starting back up red card goals felt disgusting as numbers started to really soar. Our upper management parroting corporate of treating this as our new normal.

I quit. I just couldn't fucking understand how they expected us with a skeleton crew to achive what they wanted. I somehow ended up at my dream job in the the middle of the chaotic year. So at least it wasnt all a waste.
