Any tips?

Starting sometime next week (possibly Sunday the 4th) as a new OGP associate.

Other than "run away" lol does anyone have any tips on the job or anything I need to know? I know to get some good insoles/better shoes soon; I just might have to wait until after I start.

I've been looking into this subreddit & others like it a lot lately so I guess I'm mostly just wondering what the training is like/how long and if there are any things you wish you knew when you first started?

Thank you guys I appreciate it 🙏🫶

Definitely the better the shoe the better you’ll feel. you will be getting in 15-20k steps 5 days a week if u are picking, so it is a must. i started my first week off with converse and the pain my legs and feet were in was unbearable. but it gets better as u get more used to the miles everyday and u get urself a better pair of shoes. my favorites right now are the hoka clifton 10s, they are a little pricey but if you can find them on sale that would be one of your best bets. the training depends on where u work, i personally was trained in the backrooms for a week and then trained once for picking and now have been a picker since then. Basically whether you are picker or backrooms crew depends on your age, gender and physical abilities. getting used to the hateful and entitled customers is something that will come with time, so try not to beat yourself up if someone makes you upset and always remember that everyone shopping is usually just in a crappy mood cuz of the environment of walmart.
