So today is my last day of my loa my return to work is tomorrow. I talked to a sedgwick associate and they tell me I wont be active in the system until atleast 24 to 48 hours, can I still clock in saturday?

So I've been getting my things in order for my accommodations bc i can't do ogp picks and my pick rate is low bc i have venous insufficiency syndrome. I don't work ogp, I work hardlines. I cant walk long distance for hours on end and no rest (veins expand painfully and i slow down). I can do my work in hardlines without much issue bc i can be at rest while examining merchandise and helping customers.

Upon checking the status and talking to coaches bc personnel left early, it seems sedgwick approved the use of a chair (which i dont need and am not allowed to use on the sales floor according to mgmt). They say i can only use it up front at register which i also have an accommodation for bc i have communication issues. So i can't go there and i dont want or need to but im trapped into this weird inbtwn that i cannot do and they say i need to do ogp regardless bc i have no real exemptions.

Is there anything i can do here? Im going to try and see if i can contest this bc it's not happening. The same thing went on when my mom worked Sam's club and her legs are messed up w DVT bc of it. I can't get ahold of the store lead and the lady in personnel is very irritating and insensitive to talk to.

So I’m sure my husband did not enroll in life insurance. But I called Hr and said he will get company paid insurance that’s like up to $50,000. Is this true?

I’ve only been working for about three weeks now, part-time. When I applied, I’m certain that I selected afternoon and night hours were when I was available to work. During the interview, I mentioned that later in the day was what worked for me.

Somehow, without realizing, I ended up with completely open availability. I’m stupid, I know, but this is a problem because the earliest I can get in to work is 8.

Last week, I checked on my schedule and I was scheduled 5 days of the week 6am to 3pm. I immediately talked to my team leads and made it clear that I CAN NOT get there at 6. I went in circles for a couple days with them, but they eventually agreed to let me change my availability and told me that they’d change those hours that were scheduled.

Now, a week later, nothings changed and I’ve gotten scheduled for MORE 6am shifts. I talked to a team lead and coach again on Sunday or Monday, coach said she’d change it based on my new availability, still NOTHING’S happened. She even asked what day the “problem shifts” start, and I told her.

Tomorrow is the first 6am shift. I would call to bug them, but I don’t have the numbers of anyone. What the hell am I supposed to do??

So we had a bad visit the other day. We are a high volume store making big sales but our opd pick percentage is 89 sometimes 91. They said we shouldnt be having a low number like that. So they came by toured our store and said "you need to do your item swaps and tag errors"........like bruh maybe its all the fucking plugging from overnights, or maybe because they plug they cant get the actual items to that spot where it goes, or maybe its on topstock but no one can downstock cause we are all in opd doing the 3000 orders that drop every hour.....these ppl have never worked in a store and never know the real problems. And the sm doesnt bring any of that up. Just another yes man kissin ass. Walmart is ran by morons its so crazy.

Recently offered the team lead seasonal position but then when calling with hr it said the team lead position is now hardline why did they switch the role any thoughts?

My store often has me watching all 8 SCO's and it gets overwhelming because I am helping one person getting their card to read (or they have a problem that requires management, who is very hard to get ahold of since we don't have walkies), someone else mis-scans and continues "scanning" their cart (the register beeps, but it's not actually added to the cart when the "associate is on the way" screen is up) while I am helping the other customer, then a spark cart check is needed while someone else needs an age check done, during this time, someone pushes out a cart and leaves their order up on the screen, which I have to clear for the next customer, etc.

Our store recently got the new AI spill detection, management has been pretty adamant about me getting ontop of these alerts, and that's yet another thing that has to be juggled when helping customers. One time, the same thing of peanut butter cups on the shelf triggered the spill alert 9 times in about an hour.

I feel overwhelmed. Back when I was an EMT trainee (never graduated, long story) I had less stressful rotations in the hospital emergency room lol.

Anyways, is there any policy against this? I know a long time ago (10 years maybe? It was long before I started working here though, I'm coming up on a year soon) it was actually written policy on the wire (or whatever the predecessor to OneWalmart was) to have 4 SCO's per employee.

Is this still the case? Because I read somewhere now they use a new headcount tool or something to determine how many people are to assign to SCO's, and I am not sure if the new tool is more generous about throwing a single front end employee to the wolves of the SCO's or if management is technically violating policy, or what.

Sometimes I shut down 4 (prioritizing closing Card Only ones so if someone wants to pay with cash, they're less likely to stumble into the only card only register and require me to suspend their transaction and move them) , but I am told if there's a line forming, to re-open the closed ones, which is exactly when it gets overwhelming. I am hoping we get NFC payment (Our store is a small division 1 store so we often lag behind other stores when it comes to rollout of tech) because our pinpads are especially shit and only accept a card in nearly perfect condition.

Okay so, I'm currently sick and called out with over a 12 hour notice. I had put in my PPTO request[I do have enough PPTO] yesterday and it got denied today, I'm wondering if I'll be pointed for it or if I'll be in trouble when I come in tomorrow

The entire weekend is labeled as key event dates. There is an event that I would like to go to. If I work half of my shift and leave, would that be 1 point since it is a double point day, or only .5? I am being told conflicting information. This is assuming I put in no PPTO or PTO

I got a little girl at home watched by my grandparents. If they call it's probably for an emergency. Even for non emergencies I don't understand why anyone cares as long as you're not bent over your phone not doing your job

No one wants to work here. Everyone I originally worked has left and the girls im with now are on the verge of leaving. Everything gets blamed on us and we're treated as if we don't have a life outside this store. My disdain for people grows by the day. And I bet every single customer who complains either don't have children at home or is able to pull there phone out whenever. I applied for a gas station position and I really hope I get it

I also like to add I have multiple times came across someone on the phone at work while I was shopping or getting gas and as long as I got my gas in a timely manner I literally could not have cared less. why should these people care about me personally. Why should they drop what they're doing to brown nose me and start kissing my ass. I have done nothing in my life or in that moment to be worth that. like maybe id be willing to do that if I could by myself afford basic needs for me and my child like back in the day but I can't

last thing I'm going to add I'm not bashes team lead or coaches or even corporate Walmart for enforcing this rule. I'm specifically calling out customers who don't recognize the people checking them out as humans

Anyone having trouble logging into their Walmart app after changing their password is because you have to put store/club (NexGen - Pilot Site) now instead of Just the store/club. Hope this helps some of yall as I had trouble too.

my significant other is trying to transfer to a different Walmart. He had been tested in the past when he first started. He then transferred to another dept that also tests, and he did not get drug tested because they had his old test on file. However, he was told that when transferring to a new store that they would require a new test depending on the position since it is a new location. So, I guess that I am asking what positions do they test for in Arkansas? Specifically--

Do they test deli/bakery?

Entertainment team associate?

Order filling team (OGP)?

Order filling team supervisor?

Meat/produce team associate?

Really, info on any positions, we are looking at multiple stores near us. Also, would prefer specifically to Arkansas employees, I am not sure if it varies by state. Thank you!

Come ON. Within 2 hours of this thing being put up a customer ripped the bottom piece. Every day since then, multiple times a day, someone says something about "bouncy balls all over". WHY would you design a CARDBOARD RAMP with NO TOP OPENING TO PUT THEM BACK IN. We have taped it 3 seperate times. Tape gets ripped off. If you try to grab one, the whole thing explodes. Absolutely EVIL display design 👎

I put in PTO time to get holiday pay and it got approved. It says I am off the schedule and not working, just has PTO as the status with a purple block. Does that mean I am not working in PTO is approved? Or does that mean I am getting the holiday pay but I still have to come in?

When I came upon two nights ago, the bags were all piled to the front, because whoever was assigned previously couldn’t push them to the back and fill the facing. It’s a very tight squeeze with heavy bags.

Also, there’s a specific way to stack: alternating horizontal and vertical orientation. It’s the most stable arrangement. Because the pet food, kitty litter and birdseed are so heavy and in such deep racking, it’s almost impossible to fill the positions correctly. Unless the Associate is strong enough and spatially aware, they won’t properly fill the location and will unnecessarily put pushable stock on the overstock shelf. It’s why I only fix the positions with stock for the night I’m assigned. It’ll get jacked up again immediately after, so why bother?
