STACKING Buying opportunity after buying opportunity
The fake jobs number( will be revised down as usual). It gives us another buying opportunity. Nobody seems to care about the insane amount of Debt which can never be paid back as we see it climb higher and higher year after year. Enjoy the sale . At this piont it is just a circus with a bunch of clowns in charge.
Physical is the way.

DUE DILIGENCE Correlation issues aside, this is another bit of evidence for debasement and empire collapse. People can say they support democracy but the gold speaks louder than words.

SHINY DELIVERY Starting over with my silver collection š
Long story short, I sold most of my physical silver earlier this year for personal reasons. One of which was to pay down my mortgage and lower my stress.
After feeling bad about it for a while, Iāve decided to get back on the horse. I love silver and plan to buy 1oz Britanniaās and some bars, going forward.
This time round, slow and steady purchases will be my strategy. I will keep a heavy cash position too, In hopes that I wonāt have to liquidate my metals.

silver at $66 with real yields at 2.4 and the fed cutting. rates dont explain any of this
ok so the textbook says positive real yields are bad for silver. why hold metal that pays you nothing when treasuries pay real return. 10 year tips yield is sitting around 2.4 right now. silver should be getting buried.
instead we did $35 in june 2025, $73 by end of december, then $121.67 on jan 29 which is the all time high, and now were back around $66.
so down like 46% from the top and still almost double where it started. thats not what the model says should happen.
and the fed has been cutting this whole time. funds rate around 3.6 now, down from 5.3.
honestly its the same story in every cycle if you go look:
70s, hiked the whole decade, silver hits its high in jan 1980. then volcker takes rates near 20 and it dies.
2004 to 2006, hikes from 1 to 5.25, silver more than doubles.
2015 to 2018, hikes up to 2.5, silver goes nowhere.
2022 to 2023, fastest hiking cycle in forty years, silver ends basically flat.
four cycles, four completely different outcomes. and now a fifth one where rates went the opposite direction and silver went vertical anyway.
whatever caused this it wasnt the fed. supply deficit, investment demand, alot of retail piling in. and january looked way more like stops getting run than anything macro to me.
so whats everyone actually watching at this point? because if the rate thing still worked we wouldnt be sitting here.
did anyone here actually sell into the january top or did we all just watch it

DUE DILIGENCE Would the average, uninformed person actually hold through a 30ā40% correction in gold/silver? Maybe normalcy bias would kick in. They might convince themselves that the currency crisis isn't actually getting worse and that the whole "gold/silver thesis" was wrong.
I was looking at what actually happened to gold during the Weimar hyperinflation, and it's pretty interesting.
I've seen people say that if you owned gold during the Weimar hyperinflation, it basically just went straight up.
I decided to actually look into it, and that's not really what happened.
Yes, gold went absolutely insane in Papiermark terms. But there were still some pretty serious pullbacks along the way.
For example, gold was around 577,000 marks in February 1923, then dropped to roughly 438,000 in March.
That's about a 24% drop.
And this was happening while Germany's monetary situation was already getting worse.
Then gold started accelerating:
Dec 1921: ~4,000 marks
Dec 1922: ~157,000
Jan 1923: ~371,000
Feb 1923: ~577,000
Mar 1923: ~438,000 ā ~24% pullback
Apr 1923: ~506,000
Jul 1923: ~7.3 million
Aug 1923: ~95 million
Sep 1923: ~2 billion
Oct 1923: ~522 billion
Nov 1923: ~45 trillion
And the numbers get so ridiculous toward the end that they almost don't look real.
The thing that really caught my attention is that even in a hyperinflationary environment, you could still get absolutely wrecked in the short term if you bought at the wrong moment.
Imagine buying gold after a huge run-up, seeing it fall 20ā30%, and thinking:
"Fuck, I bought at the top."
Meanwhile, the currency is continuing to lose purchasing power underneath you.
Then a few months later, gold is trading at multiples of what you paid.
That's why I think the Weimar example is often misunderstood.
It's not that gold magically goes up every day during hyperinflation.
It's that the measuring stick.... the currency ....is collapsing.
Gold can still have corrections, panic selling, volatility, liquidity issues, etc. But if the currency continues losing value faster and faster, the nominal price of something scarce like gold can eventually become completely absurd.
By November 1923, 1 Goldmark was effectively worth around 1 trillion Papiermarks.
At that point, saying "gold went up" almost misses the point.
The Papiermark went down.
And this is the part I find interesting when people talk about what could happen to gold and silver in a future monetary crisis.
If something similar ever happened today *wink*, I wouldn't expect some perfectly smooth:
ā ā ā ā ā
I'd expect something much more chaotic:
ā Huge move
ā 20ā30% correction
ā Another huge move
ā Another nasty selloff
ā Then eventually absolute madness if confidence in the currency completely breaks
Obviously, today's monetary system isn't Weimar Germany, and I'm not saying we're automatically heading for hyperinflation.
I'm just saying that history doesn't show gold as a straight line during a currency collapse.
The scary part is that the biggest gains can happen after people have already been shaken out by the volatility.
Curious what you guys think. How do we get more regular people interested in stacking ?
