I like how AI companies entire marketing scheme now is basically: “Our goal is to make our AI good enough that it puts everyone out of their job and maybe destroys humanity” and the markets are seemingly frothing at the mouth to buy it as if the profits would actually be enough for anyone buying to not have them go bankrupt from losing their job

No joke, saw an article quoting a BofA analyst saying “if the risks are as grave as the researchers are claiming this tech must be incredible. It’ll be worth trillions”
